actually it was our principal that guy was a boss saw a fight happening during lunch break and just ran up to the big black dude about 1.5 times his size pounding on some other face, put him in a full nelson and dragged him away i was so impressed
also i hate when people stand by an accident/crime and do nothing proactively to help, even if it's simply dialing 911 apparently it's a bigger thing in asia than it is in the west, something about herd mentality. inaction doesn't absolve you of a crime Depends on the local legal code. Or, if you're talking about morality, it depends on the moral system.
A lot of deontological reasoning says that inaction is not the same as action.

deontological ethics is the dumbest of the ethics

It's basically Force Staffing the Pudge on your team so he eats the Hookshot.
Which is, as everyone knows, a totally legit play.
Also Kant is a fucking joke.

I'm a young untenured male teacher. its different from a veteran principal breaking up a fight, you know? Yes, when you have tenure and you have been in the community for like 10 years, you can charge in and put a kid twice your size in a full nelson. Also that is one of the times when someone could get seriously hurt. But BlueMoon is right that teenagers sometimes have a hard time connecting actions with consequences. As adults we take that for granted, but its an acquired skill and at one point we did not have it.
yeah and in addition, they are actually not physiologically capable either. their brains aren't developed enough OR experienced enough. its a dangerous combination
it feels good though when you actually see the changes that occur throughout the year...I have a lot of kids right now that think they can get by without studying for their tests...its 11th grade baby, you gotta practice your shit or you're not gonna get the grade you used to get for showing up to class haha

when you spend enough time around teenage girls, the last thing you want to do is put them in a chokehold and/or full nelson haha. they are so obnoxious!

i studied for 0 tests in 11th grade that shit was trivial
tests were my jam actually, those happened in class so i didn't have to do shit outside of class for them. assignments were much worse.

Didn't even need to study to get an A on BC Calc. Pre-college stuff is easy shit.

also once i wrote a really shitty poem about the color purple and my overly prideful parents submitted it to one of those scam poem contests where everyone's a semifinalist so you buy an overpriced scam book with your poem in it and feel accomplished until your son points out you're a dumbass and fell for a scam

Same here, but teaching made me learn that many, many, many children are not like me. Also I wished I had studied, because that is a skill I could have not learned in college and done a lot better.
