I heard it was ok, but the screen play took some massive liberties with the history, specifically with the military commander that "opposed" Turing in the film. Apparently he did not do that. That sort of stuff bothers me a lot. I'm sure I will get around to it.

while I don't ever deal with snow, we get the same sentiment thrown at AZ about rain. Lulz arizona 3 inches of rain and everyone is going crAzy HAha!H! The issue is though that in areas that don't experience a lot of weather the city decides to not plan whatsoever. So when we get 3 inches of rain at once that would be handled easily by any other state, we get massive flash floods, etc. The ground doesn't absorb water, the overflow, irrigation and drain system is overloaded and our freeways end up underwater.

tl;dr city planners are lame and short sighted

Well, there's also the part where roads build up thin layers of oils on top of them that, when it rains, make it exceedingly slick for a while before the rain washes them away.

So places where it rains rarely have mega-slick roads when it actually does rain.

I've heard phoenix is a disaster when it rains rofl.
