Discard decks and land destruction decks are the worst in MtG. I get they add depth, but they can really drag a game out.

The alternative is combo decks that you can't interact with until the turn they go off because you can only touch things the opponent has on the board. Which means your only way to beat them is to race them with a faster deck.
Hence why Miracle Rogue was a problem for ages, because by design, Hearthstone has no ways for you to stop your opponent through any means other than killing them or the stuff they have on the board.
