gone home wasn't pushed hard, critics generally liked it because of the story but they all gave the caveat of it not having very much gameplay at all. if you don't like the game don't play it, i don't like most of the big AAA games (far cry, AC, dragon age, etc.) that were "pushed" last year but the easy solution is to just not play them and find games that you like
