Man, catching up on the Dota from over the weekend. Dota Pit Season 3 seems to be going very well.

I kinda wish that lickypiddie had some more timestamps though, so that I'm not caught completely off-guard with the broadcasts. How have the games been?

burning with the casual 22 prediction streak
i thought iG might go full tryhard with TI so near, but they're still just doing random shit in pubs

Are they at least playing DotA and not WC3 maps?

inb4 "buy a desktop" i have my reasons for wanting a laptop

I also only have a laptop. I feel like desktop/laptop is a matter of lifestyle more so than overall utility.

Apparently according to reviews 980m pulls less power, if I remember correctly. But if you are running off of AC all the time, that shouldn't matter to much. But that is the main thing I look at with a labtop is how is it going to run if I have to unplug it and how long will it be able to.

but yeah from googling the issue, it looks like unless ur planning on going 4K resolution, the 970m will comfortably play modern games at very high settings
|
it depends on the price difference, the gap in performance is around 20%
|
ahs, are you buying a new card, or thinking of upgrading from the 970?

im buying a whole new laptop and just wondering if it's worth splashing an extra £230 or so for a 980m
|
Sounds worth it if only to future proof the laptop, since Kupon says it's about 20% better.

Is the graphics card the bottleneck for the laptop? How good/bad are the other components?
|
970m in my laptop is very nice but i got it as a gift so cant really speak as to whether its worth it
