Dark Souls 1 it's a fantastic game... at least half of it, the second half its such a steep fall in quality that everytime i replay it i go "oh yeah... the fun is kinda over".
3 is just a well rounded Dark Souls game, it might not have the heights of 1 or the variety of 2, but its just the best souls game.

and historically, teams that dominate throughout the year fall short at ti ALOT

At the same time, there has never been a team that won every major tournament in a year (deeamhack + majors). GG are definitely impressive. Unfortunately, I think that competitiveness has started dropping off on the whole.

Majors weren't a thing back then, but IIRC Alliance won almost everything in the year they won TI. And were nerfed to hell afterwards.
Obviously the scene was less globalized back then and teams were slower to adapt, so not sure how much that applies.
I'm also surprised Secret didn't have a year where they won everything except TI, they had some really dominant years.

I don't do life updates very often anymore, but until recently I had been working with afghan asylum seekers to file their applications for legal status in the US as a part of my law school program. I got word yesterday that my first client received an acceptance letter from the US immigration authority.
I knew when I started my JD that I wanted to help war refugees and asylum seekers and it feels really good to finally be in a position to do it. Also super pleased that I got a positive outcome for my first client as an attorney
