People are saying PGL had to turn the caster volume down in the venue so players can't hear them... Problem is that people in the venue can't hear shit either.
Between this and the multiple times PGL fucked it up bad but keep getting contracts, i wouldn't be surprised if gaben actually owns PGL.

Was there some magic formula that worked for EG for a short moment and then stopped working again?
I can kind of get that games are close and you somethings stuff works out, but does that explain the whole fluctuation of poor performances pre-TI into dominating group stage into crashing out 0-4 in main event?

EG had a ton of success with SF during the group stage, one of their only losses was also against the hero. Main stage that hero is like 1-8 or something overall, not entirely because of SF but whatever, it was definitely a core part of what made EG so good in groups. I think it threw them off against BC when they banned it both games along with some other very specific targeted bans and then in that second game they had no answer for like half of BC's heroes in general.
Could also be that group B teams were better in general so what was working for EG stopped as soon as they played against better competition lol

I think there was some mental weakness to losing to 0-2 BOOM and 0-2 Thunder Awakening. I felt like they were losing more and more confidence in what they were supposed to do in each game with every loss.

just watched the last seconds of Liquid vs TA in client and Marci had havoc hammer up (300 magic dmg) and could've killed pango.
I guess both Marci and Enigma would have had buyback though that and couldve bought back much sooner.
It wasn't meant to be this time for SA :-/

I agree with the mental part, EG is the like the most anti-clutch team of all time. Nightfall also coming from a team that was known to dominate in scrims and group stage, then never had success when it came to the bracket stages.

You know Valve realized this TI wasn't being received well when they have to give all these goodies, including a coupon for a free Arcana (with conditions).
