Yup kinda crazy. And on the other hand EG somehow qualified because of beastcoast winning (which apparently had EG making beastcoast qualify last DPC as well somehow)

Kind of surprised that these young esports players are still being denied visas. At this point the US immigration office has over ten years of experience dealing with these kinds of visitors and theyr still denying worker visa applications for like one week stays. Pretty ridiculous.

For this one it was mostly Russian nationals denied visas, which makes sense

It probably has to do with the current geopolitical mess currently at hand

Ah damn, thats unfortunate. I hope it was at least a fair queue and not bullshit technical problems like previous years. (At least the years when I tried to go, hehehe)

Reddit is saying a ton of tickets got grabbed by scalpers and are now being resold for $1k+

so many "high-end" events, that have personalized tickets. TI is not doing that so scalpers can go in?

i mean obviously, every event ever that definitely will sell out is gonna get wrecked by scalpers, but how can you even blame them, its such easy free money

blame organizers and ticket vendors instead and dont buy resold tickets, but thatll never happen

!!! Drama alert !!! Fnatic invited to TI over outsiders

Apparently the math on liquipeida was wrong and outsiders were 1 point less than fnatic

Ok, I want to see the math for this... or better I think I know what they did!

"Real" Math (what probably Liquipedia did):
First points + First Penalty:
(198/100)*85 = 168,3
+20 = 188,3
again penalty
(188,3/100)*85 = 160,055
+500 + 360 = 1020,055

"Integer" Math (Valve?):
First points + First Penalty:
(198/100)*85 = 168
+20 = 188
again penalty
(188/100)*85 = 159
+500 + 360 = 1019

The "159" is crazy. because "actual" it would be 159,8. "normal" rounding would be 160, making it that Outsiders get 1020 in the end and be tied!

Are outsiders taking it like that?

Topson and Ana for T1 is interesting. And kinda expected.

Ana wanted to play obviously and Topson also wanted to but his new family is in Kuala Lumpur so he finds it convenient playing for SEA team

I'm having trouble believing nobody noticed/clarified this before the major, that's the weirdest thing to me.

i just assume no top eu team wanted to replace their current midlaner, even tho topson for cristallis would be dope as fuck.
theres a reason he got announced as "standin", im sure hell join a euro team after ti once stuff forms

Yeah liquipedia is usually pretty good about being correct in terms of tournaments and all that. Suppose that nobody did their due diligence because they didn't think it would come down to 1 point or 0.05 points. At the end of the day, outsiders needed to win and they didn't.

The real story here is that beastcoast are the heroes of NA and SEA hahahaha

Yeah topson to EU after TI seems likely. edit - in fact, ceb, notail and jerax are all free agents in EU

I'm quite skeptical about ana - his humblegod phase was very humbling and I didn't see anything special during the major (although perhaps that was language barrier - apparently he didn't communicate in chinese).

That makes sense that he's a standin just for this TI and he would join another team after (he did say in his interview that he would not play NA LUL)

Yeah i don't think Ana is like in his form or peak either. Nor is he in a team that fits him well (well maybe idk we have to see T1)

But i just like watching him play. Topson tho i have more hopes since that dude never stopped grinding
