it's hard to play for fun when every game has pudge or sniper or PL and there's no counters on my team, people pick no teamfight and no stuns, I try to do my best in the midlane but it either doesn't matter or I lose the lane ;/

i'm actually considering it too, my job rn is in the govt but at some point i know i'll be returning to a university and i need the degree cause universities are pretty hierarchical so if i want to be head of that particular department...

i play it alot nowadays BUT only with friends/chill party i suggest you do the same if you are not trying to be competitive (as dota is just stressful as hell)
unless you are grinding as a pro then play solo

I occasionally pick up dota again and play to a goal, but this time around that goal only took like two weeks. Dota's still a hell of a lot of fun to play, its just blocking out 70 minute windows where I'm gonna be awake and attentive is much harder than... idk, a run of slay the spire or a few hands of Arena.
And I don't find dota that stressful tbh, at least not compared to League where most of the time it feels like you're actively fighting against your teammates also, or SC2 where it is 10-15 minute bouts of 100% focus and activity.

I use the dota 2 client sometimes to watch games.
Though as the audio oftentimes is way worse and more prone to stuttering than the official streaming broadcast, I rarely do that anymore.
Apart from that it's neither hats nor playing for me.
