It does such a good job of parodying the corporate dystopia wev made for ourselves.

when I banned that bot I thought I had accidentally clicked on Phoenix' profile for a moment and had nuked him by mistake, would have made for an interesting morning lmao

To be honest, we only got people saying the earth is flat and that vaccination is a pharmaceutical plan to control us
which i'm not sure ANY book or movie talked about
once again, reality beats fiction.

I also should have mentioned the space colonies in my Blade Runner post.

The future is now, and it kinda sucks.

A lot of the things people complain about d3, I LIKE and have sunk thousands of hours into. So we will see. (i don't want a poe copy personally, I like d3 better in a lot of ways)
Also Maru better pull through here. Terran is so dead lmao D3 was a good game when it came out. D3 still is a good game. I have played it a couple of times on a lighter difficulty just to experience the various characters and enjoy the story in peace again. Though tbh I've never made up a build off my own mind for the endgame. This is where most (?)people have their gripes with it and it just hardly concerns me as I've never stuck with the game long enough like I've had with D2 but those were other times. Diablo 3 on release was a mess, so much of a mess the developers in charge of the expansion that fixed the mess made a GDC talk where they talked about just how they fixed the mess
And that's without even mentioning inferno on release lmao
Diablo 3 after the 2.0 loot changes is however a good game, but release d3 is definitely not in the camp of what I'd call 'a good game'
It's a very good GDC talk by the way + Show Spoiler +

I've had my share of fun even with d3 vanilla. That's my usual benchmark.
That it's way better with the stuff that's now in the game item progression wise is true nonetheless
Otherwise I'd not have gone back to it like four times

I don't know, I'm not sure if the most optimal way to play a diablo game is to smash pots and avoid enemies, that I'd call that 'good game'
The game was nearly unplayable if you got to inferno
But to each their own, if you had fun that's great, I just had the opposite of fun after reaching inferno, and hell just getting there was a frustrating experience
That GDC talk isn't about what they added, it's about them fixing fundamentally broken systems that made the game frustrating and not fun to play, that's literally how the devs themselves put it

d3 on release was prolly the worst game i can remember d3 now is alright

Iirc that is. Maybe I should've dug a bit further back in memory and only now remember how crazy it was haha. Fun times dying easily with nearly maxed out gear (the streamers like Krupp) and people getting killed on hardcore because others led monsters into town. Yeah I retract my former statrment and have to say that's not really what anyone was looking for.

I enjoyed it for the hype and competitiveness with friends at the time, but the hype/culture offset the game itself not being good at the time.
Now its a lot more casual and actually fun for game reasons not metagame reasons

wonder if the hearthstone incident will have any impact on OW2 and D4 sales

so i actually tried to clean my laptop properly today cos my GPU kept overheating and it took me an hour and a couple of needles to actually get most of the dust out, the vents in my laptop are so small i think compressed air worked against me in the past but im hoping my fans are much smoother now and my GPU wont overheat

Dirt is one problem, the other problem can be ruined/dissolving heat paste.
