we saw a bit of gameplay i think last year and a year after we see 0, it's probably gonna be good, but i think this is one of the firwst games that the closer we get to release date, the less gameplay we see
not a good sign if you ask me Showing gameplay doesn't get as mainstream as a badass trailer with keanu reeves. They could've done both but keeping things secret-ish generates more hype from my understanding. I agree that being skeptical is the way to go about games, but i don't see not showing gameplay as a bad sign.
I'm on the hype train btw, don't play games as much but 100% will watch someone stream it
edit: just read last couple of posts about this subject, ya'll already got my point but here it is anyway

I'm also sure gameplay isn't going to be the main focus of the game anyway. You don't play Witcher for the combat, it's only barely tolerable enough not to prevent you from giving up on it.
At some point they need to show that it isn't downright awful, but that's probally not what going to make or break the game.

I spent today reading all 350ish pages of the handbook for Gosu. It's supposed to be a programming language to replace java that is used in the insurance industry.... but I don't really see the point. Its differences are tiny, and the most desired part of what it does is just an API.

Kotlin has more changes than gosu. Gosu basically changes the way classes are declared, uses 1.5 style for loops, and has variable inference (which java has as of java 10). It also has dynamic classes. That said, it is actually lacking some java features (like normal for loops).
It does have some better null handling and less verbose objects, but any language has that. And you can also just use spring.

BOTW 2 announced
So fucking hyped
Also, relevant:
|
There's something very refreshing about Nintendo E3 conferences because they aren't filled with CGI trailers and inevitable bullshots.
|
I share your excitement! Very much so indeed.
Also watchdogs legion. yes, I want more time to play these amazing games coming up.
|
I want BOTW 2 to have:
The same engine, minus the breakable weapons system and plus some monster-hunter level weapons crafting system.
Actually engaging puzzle/dungeon design. I had more fun with the basic environmental challenges and problem-solving interesting ways to attack groups of enemies than I did the proper "puzzles" in shrines etc. The level 1 island (or whatever it is called) was a -fantastic- piece of interesting puzzle design that actually forced you to engage the game's mechanics and design in a meaningful way, but the rest of the "puzzle" elements of the game fell pretty flat imo.
Or just go back to proper Zelda dungeons and progression.

The new Pokemon games are limiting the kind of Pokemon you can bring into the new region, which is pissing off a lot of people in the Pokemon community.

THAT GAME IS SO BRITISH THEY ARENT EVEN LETTING POKEMON FROM OTHER REGIONS IN Lmao
Matu got benched by Liquid and I'd assume leaving once his contract is over.
Maybe I'm speaking from ignorance and the staff here have their own procedures, but I'm curious if the heads at TL gave the staff writers here any word on this. I would have thought an announcement as big as this from their own team would go out simultaneously with the rest of TL's social media.

Curious to see who will fill his spot. There's no obvious free agent, perhaps they'll poach some proeminent t2 team

Yo wtf. Where is the outcry about kicking a player who already qualified for a major? And why would Kuroky make stupid jokes about this already?
