In my experience the vast majority of programming is simple logic problems that have very little to do with knowing english. Yeah, the function words may generally be English, but there aren't that many and plenty of those are used differently than in english (for as a loop structure, for instance). If it were a case that someone was trapped on a desert island without dictionary or internet it might be a problem that you need to know about 20-30 words of English, but that's not an actual problem these days. Even though the words are in english, the vast majority of native english have no idea what they keywords mean. For, int, double, float , &&, ||, >> don't register with english speakers directly.

I just thought he was basically support/offlane kind of player the first time i saw him play.

Doubt it matters once you know how to code and you're just learning what the equivalent of an if statement is or w/e

The one thing that "forces" people to learn english is the amount of content that is avaible in english as opposed to other languages. A monolingual programmer will be handicaped, but it has little to do with the programming language itself. It reads like someone that doesn't face a problem creating a problem out of nothing, with no research as to how the population that should be affected by it handles it. Even if the idea behind it is not completelly without merit the written article is still dumb.

I think there are plenty of reasons even for fully programming in english no matter where you are from, as in variables and such, and that is something that is actually an interesting discussion you could have. I have no idea how common that is though, I don't really work this stuff.

It feels like it'd be a relatively easy "problem" to solve if it were much of a problem at all. because languages are standardized and the open source community has provided years of free support for tools to ensure reliability and robustness
