Both col and EG pulled games vs the SEA teams, and in general just looked far more comfortable than the non-Na'Vi EU teams. Teams like mtw, mouz, darer, etc just got ROLLED by everyone except for each other.

Man I can't wait to see what's gonna happen to Dota 2 after TI2.

Not sure, but if it did, a lot of people wasted their tickets...

Plus they also counted the need for exposure so they saved space for pass by seat. So if you bought ticket you get access to boxes and stuff but walk by is ground level i think.

if that true... wow... so instead of team taking a cut, they double the prize, seem legit -_-

Invictus Gaming is owned by the son of the owner of Wanda Enterprise iirc.

the thing that actually annoyed me about this is that they are a full package team. Meaning aside from iG, they are not sponsored by any other brands. Its like FXO in starcraft in a sense. This means that despite they won the biggest tournament in the world, the return in investment is very low or does not even exist since they are not promoting anything but themselves.

They are sponsored by a billionaire businessman. Small beans to him haha
|
^Wasn't iG like bought out for $6M or something during the Great Chinese Reshuffle
|
Great event until the final match. Na'vi winning would have made the universe perfect. Valve has produced the best tournament in the history of esports I believe so huge thanks to them for that.

The return investment is padding a billionaires ego. For a few million dollars, he probably thinks this is a great deal.
I also am still in shock. God damn how was that better than anything I have ever watched. Fucking hell, Dota is going to ruin me.

CCM was bought for $6million. Then iG also bought out 4/5 of LGD, leaving only ZSMJ, and picked up zhou to fill his role. When it didn't really work out, they dropped one of the teams and consolidated into a single five-man unit.

Many of the Chinese teams are ego projects run by extremely rich people. TyLoo, for instance, is heavily involved in the Chinese energy sector and owns more than a third of a nuclear reactor. That's so freaking much money it's hard to comprehend.
