Best thing I know is that you go to the Watch menu, click 'recent matches', filter matches by your name, and then filter through the skill levels. If your most recent games show up on high/medium/low, then you could bet that's where you're at. Not all that reliable if you get matched in a full green bar match a lot though.

How good is high though? Most of my games are high skill level, but what does that even mean?

Anyone else in this awkward position of being way too bad for IH games but much better than (and is thus frustrated by) the average pubber? I just got out of a game where CM tried to duo-mid with me and just kept autoattacking. Didn't even buy courier or anything. At the very end, of course, she says to the team "l2p". Well I'm certainly not doing MM again solo-queue. Big mistake.

Carry yourself out of bad rating. It's easy in Dota.

I can win my lane most of the time, my lasthitting is OK, but there are 2 other lanes which get destroyed in half the games I play. And with everyone picking heroes that the average low-level-pubber has no idea how to play or play against, i.e. Clinkz, Invoker, Slardar, etc...

Play NS, win the lanes for your teammates
either that or pick AM(not as strong as before anymore) and just carry the game in 40min.
or alternivatly play with friends.
