Seemed like he found out when the announcement was made. There's plenty of dirty laundry in the scene. You got some personal beef with Tobi, tough luck, but he's by no means the only bad guy and the rest saints, as you're making it look like. I remember the season when Joindota still was casting Starladder. Starladder had got shit on badly because Tobi was taking other gigs for Joindota and left most of the starladder season without any English cast. It was really annoying. The next season Starladder replaced Joindota with BTS, who covered all games just to mention. So yeah Tobi just being a cunt but nothing new since I heard what he did with his cocaster at TI2.

Definitely not saying there aren't other shady folk in the scene. There totally are. The switch from jD to BTS was because v1lat and the other admins felt that jD had violated their contract (the letter or spirit, I don't know). jD was supposed to provide match coverage, meaning Tobi was, because he's a draw and that was a way to get more viewers to some of the less-obvious matches. Instead, jD farmed a lot of those matches out, especially to Sheever, and didn't really exert themselves promoting the broadcasts. Viewership was down from what was expected. Did it suck for jD? Yeah, but it was a business decision. Keeping v1lat out of ESL was personal.

Is the respawn timer and heal-on-death really that good? Or is it just a cost/effect ratio, with the combined bulk and regen making up for the other suboptimal bits and pieces? Why over complicate this so much lol. People are dumb.

I ask myself this every day. I just go euls first and then go into Bloodstone if I feel its necessary(aka, if I am up 4 towers). The only thing it goes for you is make sure you never need to leave the map. But yeah, I don't get it. I would rather have a BKB, Shivas, Heart, anything. PS: I also don't think drums are worth it(I used to). If you are afraid of bust, just buy a bracer and see how that works for you.

So you're saying he's just so much better at the game than Empire that he can get away with it?

Tobi was casting Defense and Defense cups instead of Starladder and outsourced stuff to Sheever and friends. Starladder would have provided a good coverage for ESL One. They actually have a studio and a lot of casters whereas Versuta is limited in his capabilites. You can't tell me that this was a business decision. At least it wasnt based on any logical thinking. I don't often criticize pros on their item builds, but I think there are better items unless he has some crazy thing with the massive heal burst.

Well, the cost from Eul's+Drums is pretty similar to that of Bloodstone. Some games the mobility and utility from E+D is better, other games you'd rather have the superior bulk, sustain and snowballiness from Bloodstone. Honestly I think a lot of it is just simplicity. Bloodstone is decent so we go Bloodstone. Just like how on Antimage, you get Battlefury because Antimage gets Battlefury. There are times to get other things, but many/most players, unless there's something spelling out that it's time to do something else, will just follow the standard builds.

Bloodstone after Eul's+Drums in this case. That's the build in question. Antimage and Battlefury is... a little different. Spectre Radiance might be a better comparison.
