You can use the two together to last hit and deny, of course. The bear is very good at harassing, because nobody can really trade hits with it, especially when your hero comes in to join the fray. It's like what, seventy damage per attack and 2k health? You just have to be careful with your positioning, and be sure that you're never ever getting your hero into the initiation range of one of their heroes, because that's how you die. Play safe and whittle them down, generally. If your lane is really tough, you can use the bear to drag creeps to your tower through the jungle. That was an old AdmiralBulldog thing: you'd see maybe even most of his farm early game being taken between his T1 and T2 towers. Big thing is just practice. Merlini claims to have played forty games straight with him to get used to the hero. | ||

Makes brood visage and LD easy, but I have a hard time with ET since spirit doesn't work with it. | ||

People have always overestimated how hard he's to play, based on the fact that there's more than the hero. Honestly he's more of a middleground between regular dota heroes and the really fun ones like meepo. | ||

He has a different power "curve" then most heroes. You probably wont find anyone being able to go 1v1 vs the bear at lvl 5. So get lvl 5 and bully people out of lane and farm like hell otherwise you fall off. Just boots oov and lvl 5 gets a kill in like 70% of games i promise! | ||

all his attacks are super slow with big winddowns to fuck him up. if your patient you should be able to kick his butt. honestly you should REALLY be able to beat him with npc summons and resin. maybe your just being impatient and getting hit when you shouldnt? also i think the TL dark souls thread is still active  | ||
