Everytime im on a 10-15+ win streaks, they start match me with team of 5-4 or 2 stacks of 2 and put some noobs with 100+ wins on my team. The way it works is the VERY top of the match making bracket right now is full of premade stack team of good players and if anybody with solo queue has match making rating close to top that person will constantly facing premade stack until he start losing. Jesus lost 7 games tonight and still matched with (EG?)misery stacking with his russian friends raping my anus .
Winning streaks are always met with anal rapage.
I'm a stat whore, I track games, win rates by role (carry, etc) and I've had 2 50 game sets where my friend and I went 75-80% win rate. After these sets we immediately went like 3-10, 5-15, etc., it's like clockwork. Anytime we start a new 50 game stat sheet if it goes well, we know there is a ticking timer on when it's going to turn to shit.
The weird thing though is we don't start losing because we're playing much better players.. we still get the normal people we always play it's more like our teammates get worse and worse. It's a very strange phenomenon but Valve confirmed they don't try and force losing or anything of that nature.
Perhaps I just need to start stacking myself.
The other thing I've noticed recently is that games are much easier if I solo queue rather then duo queue with a friend. We are at the same MMR level it's just the games seem much more balanced (win or loss) when I solo queue.

Most likely there's 2 things going on...
1. When you duo-queue you and your partner get a bump to your mmr to offset the fact that you're queuing together and should (in theory) have an advantage over 5 solo queued people. If you don't take advantage of that, you're going to lose some games. Normally it'd just stabilize out, but since you solo queue and re-inflate your rating it's a never ending cycle.
2. There's probably still a small-ish sample size of players to match against and what happens as you go on winstreaks is the MMR has some trouble finding a good mix to put you in so you end up with a wider mmr gap between you and your teammates, but since your mmr is inflated you get matched vs roughly the same difficulty in team. Ideally you want the mmr giving you better allies and tougher opponents, but if the players just aren't there in the queue you can end up with a wider spread game.

Nice ideas, we've thought similar things as well. We even had a discussion with Eric Tams (valve developer) and he made some changes to the MM after our discussion and review of our games (he had me send a bunch of match IDs). I think the biggest problem is playerbase at the top. We are regularly matched against the known ladder players and pro gamers in NA. I think sometimes for the sake of having a speedy queue it just widens the scope a little bit too much and gives one team some teammates they really shouldn't have.

I believe the mini stun does, but the damage does not.

Here's a lesson: 1. Open a web browser (or use the one you have opened to post here) 2. Enter "necrolyte dota" 3. Click a link to playdota 4. Look at the spell
e.g. Notes • Damage type: magical • Damage is dealt at the end of the stun. • Disable works on magic immune units. • Can be improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values).

not only the stun, the mini snare to hold the enemy in place while the animation is played also goes through. Dmg does not however.
wow navi lost a game? i didnt watch it but wtf happen?

xbotc throwing, na'vi almost recovered with dendi crit + rapier windrunner but as they win the team wipe at 64m the creeps bot/mid kill their throne. LOL.
Both games were exciting even if many mistakes, I'd definitely recommend watching them both.

Hey guys, do you think you could keep the spoilers for recent games (IE the past 2/3 days) for the LR thread? Sometimes I specifically avoid that thread while I'm at work, and sometimes I just come to this thread to be spoiled instead. I just feel like we should somehow keep a rule on this somewhere...
