Is there a game I can watch to learn or something Well it's a pretty broad subject but some general tips or whatever: 1. Learn how to kill the enemy offlane. Unless they are Funn1k they are going to make mistakes and you need to learn to recognize them and capitalize on them. Probably the biggest tip I can give. 2. If you can't kill the offlane just pull, but don't pull if the wave is already pushing into the tower making your carry tank 2 waves. A lot of supports get massively stronger at lvl 2 than 1 so it might be enough to kill the offlane. 3. Some lanes just suck. Like Spectre + AA won't ever be able to kill an offlane unless they massively fuck up. Best is to just pull and give regen to the carry.. Trade lasthits for reg. That lane lost because the lane is horrible, it happens in pubs. AA is not a strong babysitter and spectre usually needs 2 supports or one very strong laner. 4. If the lane is already lost, like you died vs the offlane. The worst thing you can do is to just sit and steal xp from your carry. Try to help mid by controlling runes / ganking for them. If you just sit next to your carry they end up underfarmed AND underleveled. At least give them solo xp. 5. I think a lot of people spend too much time trying to zone out the offlane with it not working. If you can't kill him then just pull so you and your carry gets higher level and then try. Zoning out is more for trilanes vs solo offlane I think unless you know what you're doing. Remember, pulling is another way of giving the offlane less xp + if he comes to soak xp he has put himself in a lot worse position so easier to kill. This is for 2v1 situations which pubs tends to end up in. If it's trilane vs solo offlane it's different.

Y'know, because reaction times and visual-spatial abilities aren't relevant at all. And of course I can only assume he thinks all tournaments that are limited by nationality are also bigoted. On April 11 2014 21:46 zezamer wrote: you can created space by making stuff happen on their safe lane / mid. Yeah, this is an important point. Sometimes you're not going to be able to do anything in your safe lane. Unless your draft (or just heroes in AP) is just terrible, you should be able to get advantages elsewhere, or you should be OK with losing laning because you have a strength curve that puts you ahead mid-late if you don't lose too badly. Sometimes winning games is about deciding which lane to sacrifice for a time.

Is there a game I can watch to learn or something in pubs the offlane is often way out of position, if they get in exp range trade hits with them. If they are defensive you pull, jungle or gank. If it is a 2v2 lane it depends on the matchup really but assuming you are safelane you have the pulling advantage and should get ahead.

For offlane, I feel it is a bit harder to do those things obviously, so I either roam a shitload or just overall play safe.

If it's always your own, you should play more aggressively.

I mean Invoker was in the game as is for a while now I doubt that they would force a change all of a sudden.

In Dota 2 there's no reference to any name except invoker as far as I'm aware.Which is hilarious but not an issue for copyright conflicts or w/e Either way, invoker doesn't look similar enough to Kael. They're both just sort of generic sorcerers. I can't imagine there being any change with him.

And the robes with orbiting glowing balls are preeeetty similar but I agree that it shouldn't be too big an issue.
