I can't believe there isn't a DotA 2 Workshop thread. Does anyone here do the workshop stuff or are you all too busy ranking up your mmr?

That would imply that people here have real world talent.

watching alliance vs rox tie breaker starladder
i got a question .. why do alliance never pick tiny for IO ? tiny is like the sickest combo hero with IO and probably the strongest carry to mix with IO.. i only saw them pick tiny for IO once .. this game they picked ck over tiny..
i still don't understand how anyone would prefer ck over tiny

CK has a long reliable stun (by reliable I mean to hit). He's good at chasing. He's good at pushing (when he has ulti). He scales well with farm but doesn't need a ton of it.
He's an all around solid hero, while Tiny is more niche.
CK/Wisp used to be the most common combo, and almost no one would play Tiny/Wisp. It is only recently that Tiny/Wisp is more popular, somewhat due to that tether was changed, but I also believe it's just because Fnatic like Tiny and they brought Wisp back.

Besides, CK is combat-ready with like armlet + drums, Tiny farms Drums + Aghs and then he really starts farming lol. The heroes come online at fantastically different parts of the game (tiny has a big hole in his power curve around when he finishes aghs where his magic burst drops off heavily and his physical damage isn't there yet).

tiny is pretty solid for me .. and is much better in late game
also tiny can 1 hit combo also all heroes in the early- midgame with just his toss-avalanche when both are level 4
i guess the only advantage i could think that CK does better is the stun and he scales well even with not so much farm.
tiny also farms faster than ck.

Tiny does push better. He is better late game. Early on he needs relocate or a blink to gank. You're not going to combo without that.
And yes tiny does farm faster than ck, which is why he's a late game hero. CK rarely sits and farms.
They fit into different line-ups, it's not as simple as saying one hero is better than the other. They pair with wisp, that's most of what they have in common.

Tiny is more like anti-mage ? and ck is more like slardar ? in terms of roles ? no ?

Tiny is like a PL, he can deal good magic damage in the start of the game. But later on you really need to sit and farm him otherwise he just falls far behind and doesn't do much.
You don't want to rely on a CK the same way in terms of carrying. But if you run him in a multi-core line-up, he's good.

@teapoted && @Sn0_Man
i think i understand what you mean on why they pick ck over tiny.
ck can fight really early and early game items really help him a lot. pushes faster in the early game too.

CK also has a lot more flexibility among his first 2-3 major items (Drums and Armlet you mentioned, but an early BKB, Halberd, Vanguard, or even S&Y can be considered) which makes each timing individually more impactful. Tiny's item development is somewhat less flexible (he more or less needs to block out 4.2k gold in his first 2 major items to buy Agha), but he really comes together when he has Agha+AC or Agha+Manta.
Honestly CK doesn't even need to fight as late as Drums+Armlet. Treads+Drums+level 8 (double maxed nukes) is CK's first major strong point, it's just that unless the early game went really well, Wisp is usually not level 6 yet in a trilane when CK hits level 8, so they farm to the next major item because botching the Drums+level 8 timing without Wisp level 6 is really damaging to CK's tempo.
