PL is definitely up there as a hyper carry. A PL with Radiance+a couple other big items like Heart/Manta/Diffusal/Bfly is scary as hell and can rip through shit super fast. However, he's not as popular as spec/am in competitive play when it comes to wanting a hyper carry nowadays for several reasons. He doesn't have the global presence of Spec nor is he naturally as tanky as Spec. His mobility/escape isn't as strong as AM/Weaver either. Also, PL is rather weak until he gets a decent amount of levels and a ton of farm. Whereas Spec is strong as soon as she gets Radiance+1 survivability item and AM is strong basically as soon as he gets Manta, PL needs quite a bit more farm to become as powerful as Spec/AM. That being said, PL was used as a hyper carry in some Chinese lineups in the past tho. | ||

Yah... he's a bit of a dark horse among hard carries, but he's right up there with medusa in terms of late game potential. You can find matches of PL outcarrying max inventory void and stuff like that. | ||

I managed to swap the spree sounds but I've no idea about responses btw: it's perfectly legal to swap the spree sounds, it's just a few sound files, nothing that impacts the game, tons of people use those | ||

If they aren't able to clear out the illusions I can easily imagine a PL outcarrying the Void. PL is a great last-pick, if you notice that the opponents team haven't picked any AoE in their lineup. Unfortunately the current metagame is so push/anti-push oriented that this is very unlikely nowadays. | ||

So far I've done it with Ursa/Lich (super easy) Ursa/Brewmaster(also super easy) Ursa/Sven and Ursa/AM (rather tricky) If we succeed, which we do 9 out of 10 times, we get aegis + tons of gold and both of us just one creep kill from lvl 4, we haven't lost a single game when we've done this successfully so far ^_^ | ||
