Who is he good against? well the vast majority of heroes don't do much when they are doomed.

Depending on your role, you can go for initiation items like blink or shadowblade, team items like mek/HH, or even secondary carry items like AC. Who is he good against? well the vast majority of heroes don't do much when they are doomed. Pretty much covers it. Lane wherever you are needed, though 90% of the time doom is jungle in pubs. Identify early if you need a mek carrier or not (usually get arcanes in this circumstances). Otherwise phase drums are a solid starting item (or phase blink + centuar stomp is really really really good too). From there just figure out what your team needs (typically phase drums shivas is pretty standard on Doom).

Jungle doom is pretty ass though don't do it unless u really have to. Random thought: Icefrog messing with the xp gains for levels 11 and 12 actually nerfed doom semi-measurably. 11 is a prime number so lvl?death never hits it, and 12 is a multiple of 3/4/6. Yet now people are level 11 earlier and stay level 11 longer and then spend almost no time at level 12 until they hit 13 (another fucking prime rofl).

Seems 99 million times worse than just blink tho. its still better for solo kills. any sort of setup stun or nighttime makes it pretty easy to land orb too it also instantly gibs heroes instead of forcing you to stand there and auto for 5 seconds while someone tps in edit: i mean blink is still better most of the time but dagon first is usually not bad and sometimes really good

If not, play storm, because he doesn't always need the follow up. Puck has a way better time playing from behind because all he really needs is Dagger and the rest of your ability to play out fights is largely execution and not necessarily how farmed you are. Storm falling behind ends up being a bigger liability to your team because he has a much bigger demand on having items to be useful. A Storm that doesn't have the items and levels to be a threat just isn't scary while even an underfarmed Puck can win the game if he maximizes the effectiveness of his spells.
