the funny part is even if they succeed the other team is still doing fine, farming and all that jazz since the lycan made space for them,so you just blew roar and can't fight straight up if the lycan has bb,which most usually do.

these +80% lycan winrates are crazy to me,I even suck as a prophet mostly. The only decent split pushy thing i can play is naga mid. It's funny how most people consider that hero high skill cap and how rare it is mostly. The only skill thing about a radi naga is getting the radi in a decent time frame, from than on the game turns into a joke. people going crazy over streamers clicking illusions behind towers to intercept waves and a little micro here and there reminds me off how people went bananas when mkp was killing non speed banes with stim rofl

Chances of getting an aggressive tri against you are almost non existing. If you're decent at jungling you can get an 8:30 rosh and then 2 quick tier 1s, and then you've just given your team 600 gold each and it's pretty hard to fuck up. Honestly it's pretty broken in solo queue, 5stack v 5stack on the other hand ..

I agree with you, never had a problem playing as solo in that scenario, but a lot of people don't like being the one guy who can't coordinate with the rest of the team. The one game 4-1 stack I was in (as the 1) that I can remember was actually really really enjoyable. They gave me carry when I asked for it during CM and then I had a rough early game, but they were like, "it's k we protect you and hold off till you get farmed" and then I got 3 good items and joined the fight. They were really appreciative, and after the game, I wished they would invite me to party... alas no party invite~ But that game was like 1 in a million because I had all fluent English-speaking, mic-using, chill guys who just wanted to win and have fun...

I like the batrider pick which is a bit similar to beastmaster because both go through bkb.

A storm spirit is noticed when he is "off" the map and doesnt penetrate bkb as far as i know. He can damage lycan solo but cant kill him when he is splitpushing if the lycanplayer has some mapawareness. But ofc i could be wrong. Don't waste your mana and ask for an immediate tp as soon as you zip if you don't feel confident in your mana management.

They have some pretty good ones, like ars-arts "He won the first International. Since then he decided Dota was too easy. So he decided to play it on a higher difficulty mode. He joined VP". They also fucked up a few of the prediction you can choose ingame, but I guess that will be fixed soon enough.

I don't think you understand. Lycan is not going to push with his team... He's a rathero and will just run away everytime he's in danger, like furion. Sure you can warlock ult him but he will still just run away so..

When talking about split push, people are implying that the lycan is going to be alone in one lane with his team together in another either defending a tower or pressuring a tower. In that situation, a warlock cannot really do much. Sure he can ult if a team fight breaks out, but the other team would generally just want to buy time for the lycan. At some point you will need to commit 1-2 heroes to stop the lycan from taking a tower and then if he feels in danger, he can just ult away. If you are trying to catch him, warlock really is not going to be doing very much. He has effectively a 160s cd stun that lasts for 1s and a dot. After he ults either the lycan just goes and kills him (if solo) or runs if anyone else is in the area. I like warlock, but he is not especially good vs lycan. He is a great teamfight hero until people decide to get diffusal blades or kill the golems.

you pick a team that has good possibilitys to push out a lane pretty quick. he pushes ONE! which also often means that he has used his ult when u force him away, so you have momentum until its up again. use it. if you stop him from taking towers over and over and maintain some mapcontrol to get your own carry up, theys will lose. and thats why warlock is good, because you dont win a fight without lycan being there with everything ready. you pretty much force them to teamfight in the long run and as we all know: lycans winrate falls down DRASTICALLY the longer the game lasts. its starts with sth like 65% and end at less than 30% winrate by minute X. trying to counter him with just a hero specifically is the worst thing you can do, as your own gameplan falls apart very fast. the supports and their warding pretty much are they key to your success... if you know which tower he TPs to, or on which lane he is rotating to, you have enough time to get himon the backfoot. best case szenario pretty near to his own tower so when u win the fight, you take at least one tower, if not more, off of them. --- to be fair: lycan splitpush dosent play like the one of furion e.g. as he isnt nearly as mobile when it comes to engagements somewhere else on the map. this means that they basically fight 4 vs 5 + lycan howl. heros like warlock have the perfect tools to deal with that... and please dont tell me that: "a good lycan has always 3 lanes pushed near your tower" thats just not true. if that is actually the caste, you should maybe consider that its not lycan playing very good but you are having no gameplan and bad execution.

There was a great pro match today that features a heavy teamfight/push lineup of warlock rhasta etc., and lycan absolutely murdered them. Albeit anecdotal and 1 match doesn't prove a theory, it gives tremendous real game experience in how teams like the one you're suggesting fare against a lycan. The match was Sigma vs Empire in Dreamleague, you should check it out. tl;dr your scenarios are wishy washy and warlock is not particularly good vs lycan whatsoever.
