You'd obviously still need like 3 people doing it to be up to date (primarily for timezones and language barriers, as these posts wouldn't take more than 2 minutes to add), but on the current sites there's just too much wank and/or not enough of anything. Really what I want is a portal. Because do I really need a 500 word write-up on that StarLadder is making a Korean division? No, if I want to read more about it, there's an announcement.
There's also the issue with rumors in Dota. That everyone knows that xyz will happen a month before it's announced. But no one will officially write about it because obviously it would make them look stupid if it wasn't true. But I'd be fine if sites would say "Rumor: EG to pick up Next.KZ", and you could even come up with some stupid scale for how truthy the rumor is. ex-fucking-actly. i wish TL had this stuff neatly organized between the various games

Am I missing something here, is Phoenix really that good? phoenix at higher level is very good borderline op At lower levels the hero is kinda stupidly OP since it's so easy to use and enemies don't how to deal with him.
But from what i experience even during wc3 dota days. That hero sucks if the enemy team doesn't have mass squishy heroes. He just doesn't cut it and die easily to naix or ursa.

I personally didn't want to GG right there but we had definitely lost by that point already with Maelk picking up his eblade, all of their cores being reasonably farmed, and only I was getting anything.
You're still a winner in my heart Firebolt.

Had a weird bug today, it could be a feature for all I know but never happened before.
I bought Phase Boots at side shop for my BH and ended up with Phase Boots recipe in my inventory instead of the actual Phase Boots, this thing gave me the move speed and +attack but I couldn't use the active. Reconnecting did fix it.

yeah i had some weird recipe bugs lately aswell for example i bought bkb when i was dead but when i revived it just didnt want to be assembled..

I really dislike some of the new heroes icefrog has come up with.

Phoenix is such a bitch to play against as Slark. Can't kill him, because he flies out of pounce and can't rightclick for shit, because of the balls, they you when you're in ult, can't really darkpact it, etc. Annoying hero.

slark's an obnoxious hero to kill as well.
|
yeah lmao wtf slark complaining about a hero being obnoxious to kill
also liquid rly needs to step up their staff team, losing to tobi in round 1 thats just not ok

Well, I heard Maelk is pretty good. Kinda makes a bit of a difference.

wow Shadowdemon jungling fucking fast now.... I havent tested things properly but i think you could get level 6 around 5 mins max on dire with good spawn. 5 stack pretty much kill 90% of the big camp leaving the big creeps ~2-3 hits.

one great player is not better then 5 competent players so

how do you guys feel about wraith king builds with the blink dagger change? It feels really useful, but he's still so damn slow without a S&Y. Hard to decide on one or the other.

Hard to decide on one or the other. the idea behind the blink dagger on him is to blink into the whole enemy team and die in the middle of them so the slow debuff gets spread to as many as possible. When you are relying on a race car build to do this for you,not only do you need stuff like s&y,drums, etc, you also need a bkb a lot of times to not get kitted and even than there are abilitys that go through bkb and you get kited anyway. Idk,the blink build gets my cosign because it allows you to build more threatening items so you can just blink in,stun someone and hit that target,At that point the enemy team has to either kill you which is the plan anyway and they get the debuff or run away and you pretty much get a free kill. The timing of it is kinda nice as well because the build doesn't limit you to just farming all day,you can scoot around the map and kill stuff way before you could if you are going for some other build.

Am I missing something here, is Phoenix really that good? they just really had fun bullying him, going as far as to completely ignore the other heroes on the other team if it meant killing Phoenix In Chinese DotA 1 pubs, there were many high level players who basically had a gentleman's ban on Phoenix. A lot of known players would instantly repick the hero because it was so strong that winning with it was no longer fun (not even pre-nerf Earth Spirit ever reached this level of hate). In general picking Phoenix was frowned upon and past a certain level of play, the hero only saw frequent picks in stack games.
That kind of derision toward a Phoenix picker is not surprising to me at all.

Zet saw less hate because while he's just as broken (probably more so after Phoenix got nerfed), he's also somewhat harder to play.

I only ever see Phoenix in my games when I play him. And then my enemies are usually good enough to doge the spirits (or, more likely, I'm just bad at aiming with them). I feel like I never get enough levels with him to be a real threat in midgame.
