A lot of the arguments I hear is like "But it doesn't matter if I kill the opponents mid when my mid miss 50% of the lasthits."
50% is still more than being dead.

One of the dota-myths Its not a myth. If you play a snowball mid then you have the capacity to win every lane. Which means if you are better than everyone on both teams you can single-handedly win the game by winning your lane, and then repeatedly ganking sidelanes. Which makes it the safest way to ensure your team doesn't throw harder than you can carry. But that's a big IF.

This usually means that it will be naturally easier to get to your true rating as your impact in a large number of games overall will affect if you win or lose. I myself play supports most of the time and get carried ez life. why even sweat in the midlane D:

remember these stats apply to 2.4k mmr where the carry players are selfish as fuck and IMO the greatest struggle of some mid heroes is against their own team.... my tinker was 26% back at 2400mr and i was shouting myself hoarse trying to explain to people what my abilities do, hoping they would come in after my initiation, telling them to group up and push again and again on completely deaf ears.......(please take mid tower now...pls....pls....pls do something.....anyone..??)

This usually means that it will be naturally easier to get to your true rating as your impact in a large number of games overall will affect if you win or lose. It is true, and the low winrate on mid heroes is simply explained by the fact that the vast majority of people are not significantly far from their true rating. There are a ton of people who feel like they need to play mid every game because they wrongly believe they are usually the best player in their game due to an overestimation of their own skill.

If only my allies didn't suck I'd win more and be at /s puck is a bad example, it has solo kill potential but if you try to gank a sidelane you need your allies to actually follow up. I resolved to writing out in chat that "ganking top, i will blink soon, help me." and yet they still sometimes just sit there doing nothing at 4k mmr after i silenced and ulted.

Hence why lower level pubs always cry for ganks cuz in their experience it works, but as you go up the chain people gank less and less out of mid as the ward vision and map awareness makes it riskier to leave lane like that for potentially no benefit.

I get a good rune(mostly Haste, sometimes invis) and it usually has to be the on the respective lane to be ganked(top rune haste=top lane gank) I have to go back to base for whatever reason(TP to t1 tower and gank) Countergank. Its an offensive tri and shit needs to be done. If not I usually prefer farming Orchid/whatever item because the risk vs reward is bad.

1 week apart, both start with $150,000 prize pool plus ticket sales and are LAN events, I'm very interested to see what they do to one-up each other etc. Obviously, in person attendance is gonna be a ton higher at the ESL tournament (Football stadium, European fans, etc) but still.

And yeah, I dno how big the German Dota audience really is. I always got the impression it was relatively small.
