Thats might be true but it has influence over the non-gamer part of the population. Investors, parents,educators... you name it. If my friend who has been playing dota for many years, had a history working with Garena, cant tell the different between joke and serious just because she doesnt play dota2, i think there are many more who gona take that article as facts. I have worked with gaming portals in Vietnam since grade 11th, these kinda uninitiate things do more harm than good. The main reason why i wanted this to blew over is for these news site to strengthen their quality control in the future but comedic purposed for the english speaking community.

Can confirm that not caring is the best way to play games unless you're actually trying to be like, good. In fact I'm pretty sure since I've taken that attitude I actually end up playing worse when I start caring and stress about mistakes and shit, Yangostack can confirm this as well.
Although with that said I don't solo ranked doto, but I never solo pub it either outside of AD, and I never soloed in League either.

Go ask any Pro what the game was like before they became pro, 90% of them will say they played a game a lot because it was fun and just became really good at it.
Playing games with the intention of improving often leads to hitting a brick wall because you care more about winning and improving than just enjoying yourself. You learn so much faster when you are having fun doing it and not forcing yourself.

gamek.vn has every dota2 major article every week. To me that's a lot already, considering it's catered for general audience. For people who are in Dota2/LoL/SC2 cycle, of course there're no websites that are dedicated for a particular game. You just can't go to a trash website and assume this and that. That website used to be good, but after the owner sold it to vnexpress.net years ago, it went downhill. You can basically send an email with an article to the editors and they will just put the article out without checking sources.

At a certain point to improve you have to play to improve. Most of the time this involves scrimming with teammates, watching replays on the latest strategies and metagame picks, along with playing pubs with the intent on improving individual mechanics (since individual mechanics make a huge impact on pub games).
Also, pros played when the game was not nearly as developed or professional as it is now. The pub game scene never even warded, and in fact it was actually heavily discouraged to ward and sentry, etc. Now, it is almost a prerequisite to ward hard as a support character, along with other 'discouraged' tactics like roaming, etc. If you want to improve once you reach a certain threshold (usually around the 4k-4.5k area), you pretty much have to play to improve. Yes, you should have fun while still doing it, but don't think that you can just pick random shit and expect to win in pubs anymore, as the levels of pubs have dramatically risen since the release of DotA 2.

these kinda topic are far beyond the border of gaming and diascussions involve self improving could goes all the way from philosophy to historical and cultural studies with a dash of psycho analysis involved. Methods are differents depends on the person and its easier if you set out goals, be objective to quantify your self-growth overtime. There are many good books and articles that could help you on the issue but most people who made it far in gaming or pokers would always recommend chess related book(day9 has a favorite if you care to look it up). For dota or LoL,you also need to look at resources for leadership and team building. It's a sniper. Most heroes destroy him.
If it's a solo offlane sniper, the better question to ask is: what possible trilane can I pay my opponents to draft in order to not kill him five times before three minutes.

I can see how it works. I've certainly lost to one on the other team, because trenchlord and all that. If they have a passive duo like a hardcarry with a support that sniper can just outrange and outtrade, and nobody ganks him, he does depressingly well.
But if the other team wants him dead, they will kill him. Over and over. If you're trying to draft for him, that implies you're in CM, and I'm pretty sure that even random pub CMs wouldn't leave an offlane sniper alone.

I completely agree with that. Relaxed attitude will get you further untill you hit the "pretty skilled" cap, where to progress you will actually have to try hard.
