Just had a sick game 70 min game where we barely won vs stacked terroblade, had meepo ally that build agha into 2 reavers . Checked his profile and hes mass player meepo, using mostly agha into 2-4 reavers and eblade lol. | ||

It's hard for people to detach their ego from their "skill" (in this case defined by a rating) when they put so much time and effort into the game. so losing mmr will hurt your ego. that's why I don't play ranked. | ||

That explains why the average pubber has less attachment to the game outcome in unranked than in ranked. It doesn't offer an explanation for why you as an individual have to care about that number that shows up on the ranked MM screen. You only care about your MMR because you choose to do so.
