I seriously, seriously doubt that Ice Path has any similarity with Ravage.
I really don't remember but I don't think you could bkb out of sleep -> icepath in dota1, just like you couldn't bkb out of sleep-> ravage.
Afaik those are different issues though.
Sleep -> ravage worked because ravage functioned kinda like icepath: everything inside the circle got hit. In dota 2 ravage works a bit more like razor's static field or w/e.
Sleep -> icepath worked because you couldn't issue a bkb order until you got unslept, whereupon icepath hit you before your client knew it could bkb. In dota 2, hammering bkb sends the message to the server so that you can bkb exactly when sleep ends, you don't need to wait for the server to tell you you can BKB.
Thats my understanding of it.
Tis couldn't be more wrong, lol. Ravage in Dota 1 also comes out from Tide and continues outward, it used to stun the whole radius at the same time very long time ago, but got changed. This is also a point many people overlook when talking about The Play being a bug, it is very hard and risky to make the "let them get lifted by the spikes during sleep and then end sleep", because when the enemies are not all exactly in the same spot (which they weren't), you might do it a milisecond too early or late and not hit some heroes. And you can bkb out of sleep+icepath in Dota 1 just the same way you can do it in Dota 2.
The only person that needed to be in the air is Enigma though, the rest of the team didn't really matter.

Well, Dendi still could've forcestaffed away and stolen ravage, xboct could've used spin, etc. Probably wouldn't be a 5-0 fight, but still not horrible. Honestly, I think it was just iG not checking LoH's inventory and his bkb, I'm pretty sure he bought it right before the push. Puppey even said that he didn't think iG were going to engage there, because he knew there was no way iG will ever win a 5v5 fight. Discussing 1.5 year old Dota teamfights, what am I doing with my life?

You are discussing Dota history.
Some events are just relevant longer than others. And if I could think of a not horrible piece of history, I would name it.
This is for the Nightmare->Arrow interaction, but generally the same concept applies. Essentially because there is a one-frame break between when one disable ends and the next is applied, instant effects can go off in between. This is the same as the DotA 1 interaction (see http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=55115&p=344641&viewfull=1#post344641, tested using Disruption->Smokescreen--you can use instant-case spells like Windrun or Shapeshift before you get silenced). However, dev forum mods still consider this to be a bug (hence the confirmed tag even though it IS consistent with War3 behavior).
Long story short, being able to BKB out of Sleep->Ice Path is consistent with DotA 1 behavior, but is still considered a bug.
Just a quick question: Why is there a little icon (like a little medal or something) next to some of my matches on match history and not on others? I play exclusively ranked, some have the icon and some don't
