Put in console:
dota_minimap_misclick_time "0.05"
Default is 0.2. I have it at 0.5 (Its so good not having to worry about misclicking on the minimap all the time, and the only time the wait time bothers me is if I'm controlling minions that I want to attack down a lane without me. But in those scenarios I'm never in such a rush I can't wait for 3 milliseconds. The only ability I can think off that is spammed on the minimap regularly enough to be annoying with a bit of wait time is NP's ulti. I never play him though.

Your game will execute everything in that file everytime it starts.

Things written in the console will be remembered in the config file unless there is a conflicting bind in the settings menu, at which case it will reset the next time you start up dota 2. Safest way to make it permanent is to put the command in the autoexec file, as that will always overwrite anything else.
it works on all accounts, but its not stored in a cloud. So if you change computer, you will have to retype it or bring over the autoexec file.

Envy's keyboard is broken and it keeps typing the letter u all the time. It's so hilarious when tries to write anything. For example "weu needuu tou defeundu touwersu" and his stream title is "UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" It made me laugh way more than it should have.

I only just found out this exists, holy shit. Do pros play with this enabled? Seems like it would help CSing a lot, especially mid.

Its not that big. It comes down to preference. I always use a-click, even on enemy units and heros. Stops my character from suddenly running towards them should I missclick.

Right, but I'm pretty sure it would help me quite a bit. The reason I asked about pros using it was because I was curious whether or not it was allowed in tournaments.

Of course. Everything you can do through console is legal. And its a lot more than most people think or know about

I think we need a designated balance thread for dota

There's really not that much stuff worthwhile in console The only things I can think about is -minimap icon size (the only truly useful thing I can think of) -location hotkeys (marginally useful) -right click deny (preference) -that green arrow range thing (preference) -netgraph (which is great but isn't directly game-related)
What else is there?
|
I remember in cs 1.6 how you could basically cheat with the net_graph command and make it so that some of the number values would change as soon as an enemy would be close enough. I wonder if the source engine fixed that or if you could have free maphack in doto.
