DK going with the solo mid Tide again (admittedly it seems like it'd be quite strong against LoH's picks).
Burning playing it this time, though?

Hey is there a chat channel in dota2 for solo players lookign for clans etc? Like i can't play with mates because they won't learn (you know, can't tell them their bad because they won't learn and will instead just play the same thing oer and over.

Well here is another question for you guys. What is a good item build for Furion. I use this guide currently, but it might be outdated. Basically, the item build on the guide is Ring of Basil (starting) -> Hand of Midas rush -> Treads -> Drums -> Maelstrom. Then I go Scythe then Mjolinor. Is this still a good item build? Is there a more optimal build for a Furion centered around pushing?

Is there a more optimal build for a Furion centered around pushing? It's hard to call a single build "optimal" on Furion when he is simply such a flexible hero. You can build pretty much anything on him--how good it is comes down to teams and how the game is developing.
That said, there are two things that I would make note of. First is that I really don't like Basilius on him. It really doesn't do anything for you. You pass the break point at which Sobi Mask out-regens Basilius by like level 3 if you started with branches, and both Medallion and Urn are better Sobi Mask based items for him. The armor also doesn't really help you, since your Treants will usually time out rather than dying if you're microing them.
The other thing is that you really shouldn't commit to early Midas on him. If you get FB, it can be good to buy it in 5-7 minutes, but if you don't get a kill or two early, straight farming Midas is somewhat ineffective, especially as early-game ganking items like Urn and Medallion can make your ganks significantly more potent. Personally, I like the Chinese style of going Urn->Treads->later Midas. You focus in getting your Urn and Boots out early for potent ganks in the early stages of the game, and get Midas as you enter midgame, where you will be split-pushing and farming a lot anyway.

I think it's possible for them to just be screwing around at this point.

That makes a lot more sense. When I played Furion, straight Midas rush never let me gank early. It was depressing because I had a 20 second CD global teleport, but could only push a little with it. So after going Urn -> Treads -> Midas, should I go into the typical Drums -> Maelstrom build (unless of course, the situation calls for something else)?

I really like Medallion on Furion, its incredibly cheap and really effective for ganking(aswell as farming, your medallion should never be on cd when in the jungle, just use it on the creeps)

Not when you're on the retreat...

depend on what enemy team composition you should choose your item on furion. Medalion is a cool item but since you cant really rosh early in pub, its kinda a waste. Something like necro or forcestaff works much better most of the time for me.

You've just got to get used to the fact that Furion works amazingly well with a HUGE variety of items. The only item I find absolutely indispensable on him with any style of play is sheepstick. That global hex is too good, he's capable of farming it up quickly if necessary (vs blink heroes for example), and is the x factor that makes solo-killing a cinch and risk-free.
support-ish: urn medallion mek - for pushing lineup or to counter aoe lineup force staff - to counter many burst physical heroes like ursa or riki for example, also clockwork
semi-carry ganker/pusher: dagon rush - sick for dismantling trilane strats or against lineups with squishy core heores necrobook rush - for true sight and/or pushing power shadowblade - make your global ganks even better, easier to coordinate with allies (tp to fog) desolator/manta - take down buildings faster aghanims - kinda forces you into a very set style focused on map control and counterpushing (shouldn't do this against tinker/morph)
DPS-ish: orchid mjollnir mkb AC DR - dat bd potential

I never used Necrobook before, but I know a little about it. Is it good to upgrade it?

Is it good to upgrade it? it burns a shit load of mana, give you true sight to counter invisible heroes as well as wards, have attack speed and Move speed aura. and the most ridiculus part is: if the enemy kill 1 of the summons, they take a huge pure dmg nuke. The item it self give you str and int which is really good for int support heroes.

Kind of random, but anyone have fun moments from old school dota?
For a long time, the only thing preventing you from attacking your allies was a hex affect that automatically was casted on your hero when you targeted an ally. BKB makes you immune to magic so essentially it served the double purpose of the teamkilling item (it also had an insane duration that didn't get shorter). There was nothing like carrying a game and killing both teams at the end for lulz. Less epic were the friends pubbing together and backstabbing their team.
When Tiny first came out (possibly for a while after), it was possible to throw Roshan into the mid lane at level 7. It would only work on Sentinel, but he would easily destroy the first two Scourge towers, and then your team could kill him.
The first version of mekansm gave some minor stats + regen, but also a 20 percent chance upon taking damage to proc a 3 (possibly more, can't remember) second invulnerability. At this same time in the game, a yasha recipe sold for more than it bought for. I remember farming the first 10 minutes selling recipes and running out with like 3 mekansms (or any other combination of items) and just surprise massacring. After some levels even their fountain wasn't safe because the fast attack speed meant constant invulnerability :D
