Are there still kinks to be worked out? well, so far it seems that the system just matches you with players around your skilllevel. After 10 games gives you a magic number and that is it. I don't think it will be much different in a week or 2.

It was merely a bit of incompetence on Valve's part and the general way idea how the did the handling of the networking and how it's structured isn't perhaps the best way of doing it. EDIT: If the 'clunkyness' of the game is actually annoying and noticeable you might find comfort that you usually get used to it quite quickly, if you actually want to that is.

i just got the message (a white message at the start of the game) that i am in low priority and can't get battle points, but i dropped an item in the game? (this should not be possible) And other players report that they are low prio for multiple games but i sometimes have this for only 1 game? is this just a bug or is the white message not for me?

Before you queue there should be red text stating that you are in low priority somewhere around the Find Match button I believe.

Yeah Valve has problem with input responsiveness, but I didn't bother about it because 1) I transitioned from SC2 which has artificial latency to dota2 so I get used to it. 2) I used to play dota2 on the old pc, so sometimes shit happened. But recently I've been playing a lot of other online games and got new pc, so when playing dota2 again, it annoys me. I know there were various patches that were supposed to improve netcode, so I'm just asking if I need to config something to make the game better.

I'm uncertain whether or not it's actually severe for you, but it might be possible to make it better by tinkering with update package and performance related commands with the help of console commands and config files.
