Most people on reddit/TL/dev boards didn't even enjoy playing diretide but felt obligated to play it because the items were so prolific. It doesn't take much to go back and read posts from last years event. People were expecting another 3-4 pages of free items by playing the silly mode and they didn't get it (yet, if at all) and it's absurd if you think this extreme reaction is a result of anything else. You keep saying it could be so many different reasons like that matters at all to my point. Of course people have various reasons for liking something, but the vast majority played diretide for items and the reason for this extreme reaction are the items. You wouldn't see this level of reaction from the group that just like the halloween map, or just enjoyed the game play. You'd be incredibly naive to think so. | ||

You really need to quit with the assumptions. Might consider some reading comprehension if going to reply. My point being is people such as yourself are attempting to undermine and belittle any negativity as mere outrage over lack of items. It is disingenuous and misleading that distracts from any other points. If you want to make blanket statements in attempts to detract from any relevant discussion, go right ahead. It only shows a lack of credibility on your end. I am done with the likes of you; no point in trying to rationalize with someone on the level of b.net forum.
