Anyone else use frequency of pings to communicate? For example I found it consistently effective to ping as quickly as I can for a second or two if I want to gank a lane or in some other way attack. I have yet to see encounter people that fail to react to this sign(be it either a "no, don't" or silent compliance). The logic behind this is basically that spam pinging is obnoxious and gets the attention of even the most concentrated lasthitter. Just don't do it all the time. | ||

CM animation is nowhere near as bad as Lina though. Plus Lina has reasons to actually farm.  As for pings...its all contextual. If I want to show a rune or something I'll ping a couple of times near it or if I have time and am able to actual ping over to see it then I'll do that. I'll ping a ton on a particular spot or hero to try and get people to go there. Or I'll ping all over an area and maybe draw a circle around it to warn people away with a "care". You just have to use some common sense. I had one guy on my team ages back that I was near mid lane radiant side, he was on the offlane radiant side, I ping all over the shop area as the dire side tries to sneak in there for a gank to draw his attention to the map. What does he do? Goes charging in. "omg why didn't you come I thought you wanted me to go in." When there was two of us...against five of them... | ||
