I think it might be that he just doesn't have the instinct of when to go to open lanes, but I'm pretty sure he sees those. Watching the minimap is one of the first things I carried over from when I went to DotA 1 from BW.

yeah i think mini map awareness is probably the most important factor to carry over from Starcraft/RTS/whatever to DotA or vice versa. both games at a competitive level equally relies on having an eye on the thing.

It does make sense though, as a carry you have to pay more attention to try not to miss last hits. I find it more difficult to watch the map while laning as a carry, but I have to admit I am pretty bad at last hitting.

anyone from east got 200ms when play on USW? I have been randomly got 200-250ms game on USW lately while EUWest give me only 150ms max.

Actually, I think it was probably TI2. The setup behind looks a bit different, and I'm almost positive sing said he wasn't at TI3.

it was 100% in TI2. Sing said on stream that he just approached Idra as a fan that just wanted a picture.
