And yeah, I try to not be in a lane against him, but lanes in pubs are not always super predictable. You can easily end up against him as a melee carry. Trying to organize a lane swap in pubs is also not the easiest thing in the world. Also, lol LGD.int :D | ||

Who would solo hard lane a Necrolyte? The only reasonable scenarios where Necrolyte would make sense are 1v1 mid, safe lane solo, or as part of a duo somewhere. | ||

There should be no way to deny his own range creep(since his melee creeps will beat yours). You just have to not damage the creeps at all for a wave or two. Once you're at full hp and mana and the lane is in your favor, you can just go and kill him. Veno slow and bb stacking slow should stop him from fleeing and stacking damage from quill spray will outdamage his (underleveled) heal easily. The right response is preparation for a kill attempt. | ||

For example, an Earthshaker makes pushing kill attempts hard, but he has no harassment/trading ability so you want to force small trades/bait early Fissures whereas a different support makes it easier to get a kill attempt. EDIT: Also, Veno+Bristle don't complement each other as a duo offlane and they barely accomplish anything that Bristle wouldn't do on his own. For all intents and purposes, the Veno is just leeching the Bristle's XP. A support like Maiden or Rubick fit Bristle much better. | ||

The thing about "situational" picks is that typically unless a team already has a player who is good enough at the hero, it's hard to justify having someone commit a lot of time and effort to learning the hero from scratch. But teams that already have a player who is quite good at the hero do use it sometimes (DK at TI3). | ||
