Add a shadow-blade and it's easy to do so. Also 18 second cooldown at level 16. I don't think they're very comparable, however I don't feel DotA needs a hero like deadwood. He has significantly better laning than tusk with the same damage nuke except his actaulyl immobilizes them, has significantly more damage and his nuke is practically a guaranteed kill on a hero @ 6. Tusk isn't. (I hope I'm not remembering the hero wrong...)

With only phase boots tusk should be able to do 300-400 ult at level 6 without an issue before reduction ofc. Also deadwoods ultimates cooldown is 3 times longer than tusks. Stun and strength reduction is awesome for it though as well as hit laning phase.

How does his damage resistance work compared to armor and blocking? Is the resistance just added on to armor or is it a separate thing? Damage block, then armor reduction, then triggered dam reduction at the end. So if you take 100 damage, with ***** block you'd take 60, then reduced by armor (suppose 50%), so 30, then reduced by Bristleback level 4, so 40%-> 18. Honestly you don't need to consider the BB passive because you have 40% fixed reduction anyway. You have to compare armor vs damage block. But honestly, if you abuse the toggle Armlet is the best item bar none on him, with Hood being situational pickup against heavy nukers, then Halberd and things like that.

Well, I run him off lane when we can and my friends and I were thinking about throwing Mek on him and seeing how it worked out. He never gets nuked down, unlike some of our supports and we were thinking it would free them up to get some other items. But that fact that the block chance is separate from armor and then it goes through the reduction makes the choice a bit harder. He might need that block chance just to stay alive long enough. I will have to run it and see how it works out and get the Hood if the team is full of nukers. Testing is required.

I'm in the armlet camp. It lets him tank so much and do very good dps with warpath.

Later it's fine due to his high int growth, but you want to make the best use out of the mek early on if you're making it on a core, and I don't think he does enough if he runs out of mana after using mek + a couple of each of his spells. You want to fight long fights with bristle. I'm in the armlet camp. It lets him tank so much and do very good dps with warpath. When we run him, I normally end up going straight for the supports and trying to soak up as many spells and stuns as possible, so the rest of the team can engage. I find the early game DPS to be over kill when I need up doing this, but you might be right. Personally, I like armlet if someone is rushing mek like Enigma or Chen. But maybe rushing armlet is better, since it does make him so tanky.

Even if it just changed the final animation to the teleport to a portal, would be neat(blue outline for where you disappear, red for where you show up). Really, Dota 2 has a lot of options for neat stuff like that. I wouldn't mind seasons for the trees and ground, or if the shops were theme for Dota versions of the holidays. I would die if I came in one day and Roshan had a pile of partly blood, battered gifts in the corner of his pit that he had clearly been hording and then we could all darkly wonder where he got them.

I'd love the floor below the hero to look like a portal (same ring as the current TP) which you fall through as the animation of TPing. Also, if you leave after someone abandoning does it effect your MMR?
