Negative winrate in thousands of games is no big deal, that's not how MMR works. Ask our resident 48% expert.
I don't know if Sing was in LPQ, but even with that many abandons I wouldn't be surprise if he is ocasionally able to leave low priority.

Except its 300 games and not thousands.

I guess he just got really lucky with winning games he was supposed to lose in the mmr system but it still seems unlikely.

Dendi has a 55% win rate. What trash.

Sing will not meet sub 50 % winrate players unless he stacks with noob friends (like Tobi.) There's only like 1 guy in the top MMR who has such trashcan MMR, and he has a gazillion games played. Try looking through sings matches on dotabuff, he just isn't facing people with such winrates. I'm sure it is theoretically possible to have high MMR if you play a ton of games and have 48 % winrate, but if you see an account with less than 50 % winrate it is still pretty safe to assume the player isn't very good.

as much as you want it, 48%win in 300 games is utterly terrible cuz thats how mmr works

I feel like very few people in this thread right now understand how MMR works.

It's not that common, but considering the guy only has 300 games, the uncertainty on his rank should still be reasonably high. I seriously doubt he never faces people with sub 50%.

I wonder what happens to your MMR when your team wins a game that you abandoned. I'd wager he has quite a few of those with that many abandons. It counts as a loss for you, but losing MMR from said game would be a disaster for the MMR system itself.

The last games sing played were with Tobi Wan Kenobi. He might face them, but they will be 1 in 200 (and I do not think I am exagerrating.) Sure it can happen, but it is an anomaly. It's like getting grandmasters in SC2 by winning 48 % of games. It's possible if you have an extremely odd pattern of winning, but fucking hell is it unlikely.
|
It's also very possible in dota2 if you win a lot when you play on your own but lose when you stack with bad friends. You lose games with low MMR people lowering your winrate but your MMR wont be hurt a lot either.

It wasn't even the win rate that alarmed me, it was the abandons... 25% of his games are abandons.

.. And the top masters players didnt get there by winning 48 % of their games either.
And no, there is no reason why a 5v5 game should have significantly more imbalanced matchups. The outcomes of games are surely more random in DotA, but as number of games increases your winrate will still converge (and much more rapidly so if you actually pick heroes instead of randoming or picking trash out of sync heroes.) It is completely evident that every player that is actually known to be good, through amateur or pro team games has above 50 % winrate, and while that of course doesn't mean that you cannot be good if you're worse than that, it still shows that high winrates are to be expected of good players.
Edit: And for the above links, do you understand the concept of seasons in SC2? Edit2: And the concept of locked grand master leagues

I found more than 5 players on GM EU with lower than 50%.

Okay so simple question you guys:
Just started playing, and then about half way through my game I got teleported to the corner of the map with an ally and then he left but I got stuck. Wtf happened and how do you get out?
