EG isn't in the international, unless you count Alliance. And it does cost money to get there and stay in the area for the event. I don't endorse the idea that the players should be grateful for the chance to play, since Valve is also using this to hype their game, make money and sell stuff on steam. That isn’t a dynamic I want between events and teams. Events should also be grateful that teams are showing up and putting on good games, and they can show that by covering the teams cost or making sure that it is cover in the prize pot. | ||

Yeah I meant alliance. Just get there 2-3 days earlier than they are now, get some good sleep and practice on site and in the long run make up for it by performing in the single most important tournament for players, teams, sponsors alike. That's all I'm saying. And I think it's great that valve pays for travel/living expenses. | ||
