Dota 2 streamers are super inconsistent right now because no one is really doing it for a living yet (streaming)

anyway, just read the esfiworld article and i have to say, they likes posting outdated ranking :-/ No matter when you write something, it'll be out of date by the time you publish it - they're honest about the way they do stuff.

any general tips regarding how to play spectre? i played her for the first time yesterday with kona and started out very badly (fortunately we won).
1. should i be using ult all the time when it's up? is there a psyching-out factor regarding the use of the ult to? 2. when do i jump into the teamfight? i'm assuming its after the initial initiation, but do i jump in right after or when i spot someone who i can haunt and kill in a few shots? 3. once i have jumped into the fight, do i just dagger whoever possible?

Should be in SQ, SA thread but still:
1. Early, you should only use it if you have enough mana to spare for a Dagger afterwards + 3-5 enemies are missing on the minimap. Mid-lategame, you should be saving it while you farm on a lane, usually when the opponents are pushing so you can haunt in if either side engages.
2. Wait for a few seconds, but not too long before you haunt in, for that extra 1-2 hits of Desolate/right click illusion damage.
3. 2 ways to do this, I'd guess, which is to either dagger the one with lowest hp, or to dagger as many as you can get in the AOE.
Anyone experienced can feel free to correct me on any/every point if I'm wrong.

Spectre is one of the radience heroes and you really should try to get it asap. Your last hitting is quite good in it and your survivability aswell, dagger up and down cliffs and generally quite tanky.
The ulti is very nice in a team fight as it creates alot of confusion. I usually do it right after the initiation. Put yourself behind the focus target with the ulti and dagger the it and just rightclick.
The ulti can also be used as a suprise gank since you can gank anywhere on the map, dont be afraid to duel 1v1 since spectre is one of the strongest 1v1er.

One of the huge benefits of Spectre is that she can shut down blink-initiators with her ult. If you know a team fight is going to happen, you can ult, then engage safely and avoid something like a blink-ulti from sand king or es. Also, as far as team fights go, you should be aiming to take as many spells as possible. You take reduced damage and deal it back to anyone who attacks you and it is much better for you to get hit by lina ults and the like than your squishy supports. This is the reason why spectres almost never get BKB and instead get vanguard+hearts (heart after radiance obv).
The biggest thing with her is farming safely and effectively. You need to be really good at last hitting and have excellent map awareness so you can farm up until the last moment where you can jump into team fights and take all the kills. Early game you want to be the cleanup crew in team fights, avoiding all the damage but getting all the kills. Late game, like I said earlier, you want to be taking all the spells and as much damage as possible without actually dieing, allowing your supports to get all their spells off.
