Ya vs melee heroes you'll win but i dont see how you can do anything vs a ranged hero.

Timbersaw is only picked against melee heroes mid because of that people know that. I don't think anyone has ever picked him versus a real mid hero(qop, puck, od etc). His purpose is just to punish people for picking shitty strength melee mids.

What is everyones opinion on correct alchemist items for a hard carry Alch ?
Midas, Battlefury ,Shadow Blade ,Maeslstrom
seems like so many options and not sure which ones are best at the moment

I don't get why so many people get midas on alch. An extra ~100 gpm on someone who can't farm is amazing. But an extra ~100 gpm on someone who is perhaps the fastest farmer in the game is just not that useful.

Keep in mind that Midas also gives 2.5x XP for the creep it kills, speeding up levels considerably. Since Alchemist wants levels as well as gold, Midas can sometimes be a useful choice.
At least that's how i see it.

Depends on the game. if your team is strong enough to hold out 4v5 and can stack for you then Bfury first makes the most sense, otherwise SB first gets you the most bang for your buck in terms of farming and helping your team.
