Doesn't Riot pay some quite substantial salary to the the players as well? Plus you have people winning tournaments for years there, like Flash and Fatality, and even VoO with that Painkiller tournament ages ago. LoL hasn't really been big until recently. I don't know how "stable" their scene is as well, Navi players are there because they got 1st and 2nd in the International, if major LoL tournaments have less dominant teams in it's history it would also make sense for their players to win less money than SC2, for example.

Concentrated prize money to a single player is a diferent subject.

I haven't been able to see Abbadon in my hero select screen since he was patched in. I've verified integrity of game cache to no avail. There's nothing else wrong with the hero for me. it's a little bit annoying since I'd kinda like to play him once or twice.

In both display modes (Cards and "Taverns")? Even if you write his name in the search box?

Not to mention that as big as LoL is right now, BW in Korea was bigger...like, "beyond comparison" bigger. Television deals, actual major corporate sponsorship, salaries on par with lesser athletes/sports.

Interesting to see that Loda out of all people is the only person who actually "farm" his way to top highest earning in Dota2. The rest of the list are people who are riding from wining 1st to 3rd place of IT1, IT2.

A little more I think. | ||

Also, the lack of salary makes those figures highly misleading, since I'm pretty sure every "big-name" BW pro made more per year in salary than their lifetime tournament winnings except Flash. On July 17 2013 11:04 aintz wrote: the sc2 earnings are much more impressive. cuz those tournaments are hard as fuck and most only reward u with 50k. BW had smaller prize pools, less tournaments, and stiffer competition (GSL has higher prize pool than either OSL or MSL did during BW era--GSL seasons have about a ~140k prize pool while OSLs and MSLs rarely broke the $100k mark, and the number of GSLs in 2012 was the exact same as OSLs+MSLs in 2010, and there are more significant non-GSL tournaments in SC2 than there were non-OSL/MSL tournaments in BW).
