So that way keeps tether up the longest, and also the spirits take a while to come out and move to the distance you want, so it's good to get them out before going. Tether timer is reset when your relocate triggers.

Spirit control is important. Don't oscillate betweens spirits in and spirits out (D and F I think). Get in the mindset of pressing DD (second D to stop) and FF. Most of the time you're moving a similar speed to your target, so once you have the right ball range, maintain it. Overcharge toggling is very important. Most people think about it for the extra attack speed, but the damage reduction is probably the most important. 1.5x 250 hp mek heal and 400 hp urn heal is 1225 hp heal. With 20% damage reduction, that becomes 1500. Overcharging toggling yourself to negate harassment/spells/tower hits is also important. You used to be able to overcharge toggle individual ranged projectiles so you have the damage reduction without the drain time, but the patch says they put on a cooldown (though it doesn't look like it). How you pull to get to 6 is very important. If you get 6 early, you can suppress important enemy heroes from getting their shadow blade or whatever. Then you can keep killing them. I'm not even sure what's best. I used to do the usual double stack, but a lot of professional wisps seem to chain pull since your creeps will take less damage to do more camps. This seems better when you're level 2 and have wisp balls, though, since wisp balls do a ton of damage to creeps if sustained. Remember to time them to explode on camps. Item choice is important, and varies from game to game. There are a lot of items you want, but you won't have the time or gold or inventory space to get them all. If you ignore too many stats items, you will die to harassment. Maybe you need boots to chase and kill. Maybe you need magic wand because your lane is hard. Maybe you want fast urn, maybe you want soul ring/bottle for more mana for your partner. Maybe you want blink or ghost or arcane. Most of it depends on the game. Smoke ganks are important. After you relocate, you can go back to fountain and smoke. Honestly smoke ganks are more dangerous than relocate ganks, especially with CK, since they will not be able to blink away from a tether stun, which gets chained into chaos bolt/full wisp balls, urn, and they're probably dead. Or perhaps a second tether stun/set of wisp balls will finish them off. And most enemies will relax since your relocate is down, so they're safe. And there's stuff like managing your spell cooldowns so you get double tether stuns, double wisp balls. Avoiding baits with their team hiding behind them.

-tell your carry not to break tether before you relocate -tell your carry where you're teleporting, since he's not the map awareness god that you are -learn the 900 break range by heart, and use it to kite as many attacks as possible in teamfights while staying in range -hide within the 1800 tether range when they're all missing, relocate->tether to fountain to save someone -blink right when you relocate back to save yourself -tether to save yourself while that storm bolt's flying at you
