Don't have a source other than Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1gyrdk/versuta_got_banned_for_illegal_casting_alienware/ I wonder who will cast TPL now, if I'm not mistaken he is their official Russian caster.

Hi everyone. I'm the organizer of Alienware Cup. Since this was brought up, I would like to shed light on the situation. Thank you to those who understand. I hope those who are unhappy about the situation can consider the following information. The tournament did not have a Russian stream because the sponsorship is coming from the Asia-Pacific region. Due to the limited time, it was limited to Chinese and English, we even cut out Korean from the original plan. I would love to have arranged for Russian coverage, but this was not a priority and there are numerous aspects related to the entire project that need to be done. Today, I noticed that Versuta was streaming the games without permission. On top of this, he had totally irrelevant logos on his stream. I killed the stream and reached out to him. In our discussion, I thanked him for his interested. I told him why I needed to kill the stream. I said if he is able to cover all matches, he can email me information for consideration and that I would speak with him tomorrow. He streamed the very next game. This time he put the tournament logo and Alienware logo and removed all other ones he had on before. But, the issue is that this was not the proper procedure and could still not be well received. I mentioned it to my colleagues because I would like to kill the stream. The channel was closed instead. I messaged Versuta to let him know what happened. He asked when it would be unbanned and I informed him this is not my decision. I sent the details for Twitch to know what happened for them to decide. There are certain conditions that need to be met for streamers. It is unreasonable to expect an instant reply to a request to stream. His actions put me and my business in jeopardy. Had it been noticed or made a sponsor unhappy or lead to anything negative that made them unhappy, this not only would affect me but the future of whether these companies are interested in eSports.

Does joinDOTA need another caster? They already have Epi, who I thik is not a bad caster, but he just doesn't get any space at all. The only matches I've seen him cast are bad simultaneous bigpoint games nobody cares about. joinDOTA does nothing to promote him. They will for example postpone The Defense matches when Tobi is busy casting Starladder. They just want Tobi to cast everything. A different joinDOTA caster is never going to kick off, because joinDOTA trained their viewers to think that if the match is worth watching - Tobi will be casting it, if it;s not worth watching - a different jD caster will cover it. A new caster won't change anything, unless joinDOTA changes this approach. --- Versuta is a dumbass... this is not the first (or the second, or third) time he got in trouble for casting games he didn't have a right to cast. I don't think there's anything to add to that. Kind of unfortunate for TPL like the guy above me said. I wonder if it's him as a person banned, or just his account, because he casts TPL on a different account, afaik.

I enjoyed it though, it was pretty chill. Props to DPM for handling that response properly though. Last time this happened it was a fucking mess and no one really knew who did what or requested what or for what reasons on what grounds (cheers Tobi).
