If you are not owning with PT+Urn then you are probably not going to own with a drum at all. Make a MoM for the fun bashing or just an earlier BKB. But that's not the point of drums! You can get drums even when you don't have a perfect lane, and 1000 gold in one go is a bit of a struggle. If you back off and farm, you are wasting your early game power. If you keep ganking, getting a bracer is easy, but building up 1000 (then 1600) isn't unless everything goes off perfectly (especially in pubs where everyone wants farm, being less farm dependant is quite useful). I think we have different approaches to how to play SB. I play him sorta like brewmaster: jump in and start the fight, be useful, but don't necessarily do that much damage. You might be able to solo kill the supports, and if you keep doing well you might be able to solo the carry, but SB has really good single target lockdown. Running in and hitting a key target means that they can get picked off without them doing anything. Unfortunately, that means you are in the middle of the enemy team, aka poor survival prospects. Getting stuff done while your alive (like popping a drum charge) is useful - and if you live, that just a bonus (if SB had a mana pool I would probably go mek on him). If you are dominating, drums isn't the right choice. If the game is passive, drums isn't the right choice. But then, I think that SB isn't the right choice if you are going to be put into high-farm low-aggressiveness games. SB has great base stats, but imo fairly poor scaling. | ||

you need i think 3 points in stun to reliably land the ult, getting a single point in order at like 4 or something wouldnt be bad | ||

It's not strong yet at that point (Natural Order isn't like a lot of other auras that have a stronger 1st rank than the other ranks), and If you get the 2nd point in Stomp, you can combo on non-blinking heroes right when you hit 6. | ||
