Wonder who is going to replace them or if they are going to be replaced in the first place.

While GDStudio was streaming their TMM last night, 2gd said they are probably not going to be picking up new players until after TI3, as teams inevitably fold and reshuffle. That would be a patient choice, and probably the right one if they want to do it "right", though of course there is no guarantee of a better result, especially if there isn't much of a motivation to keep improving without a whole team for so long, basically just wasting time.

It's also frankly worrying to me personally that they'd keep wagamama around, he is by most standards a very experienced player who has been playing fulltime for a long time now and his output is consistently lackluster, with no clear improvement since the days of SKÅNE. They can try to keep putting him on different roles all they want, but to me it's apparent that he has reached his ceiling and it's not high enough for a team with tier 1 aspirations. Compare him to Singsing, how much better does he play now than he used to with mouz, where he always was the obvious weak link? He is a different player entirely.

Is SingSing just going to do nothing for the next 3 months or so though?seems a bit meh. Sounds very patient from James and I suppose the right choice though.

Right. went from being weak link to being the 2nd weakest link behind select. big improvement.

lol, and who are they going to pick up after TI3?

Give me a likely situation where a team performs poorly, they disband, and their players want to play with QPAD.

TL/Dignitas/Fnatic/Alliance aren't disbanding even if they come last. And if they did, only Fnatic has players that would probably play with QPAD. The russian teams are obviously out. So that leaves like DD and Mouz. I highly doubt the French trio would move to Sweden to play with QPAD. And Mouz, well that seems most likely, Synderen isn't going to move to play with them, and I have my doubts that Black would as well.

The team has 0 hopes if they don't have a line-up to train until then. And then when that time comes, they'll not get any particularly good players out of it anyway.

Singsing played a bad pl, skywrath, ld. But thats acceptable considering their playstyles are vastly different from other heroes with a similar farm allocation. So yeah, he improved a lot since mouz, but hes a serious player.

QPAD's still an opportunity for any player, and it's all dependent on that shuffle after TI3. Players WILL leave their teams, and then other players may want to leave after that replacement doesn't work out.

I asked for an example.

And no, QPAD isn't an opportunity for any player. It's not like they're getting paid a million dollars, from the start they said that part of sing-sing's stream money would be used to support the team, and of course that's not all of it, but the fact that's even a thing shows they get very little. Yes they can play together, but are they getting more support than Fnatic? Doubt it. And if you're not winning shit, that's not an opportunity.

QPAD is a big opportunity for mid-tier players. If they had any sense they would play fast and loose with their roster until they find something that works. Then send them to the same country. Sitting around waiting for 3 months sounds like giving up to me.

So apparently Select has left qpad. Not exactly shocking, potentially good for qpad if they're gonna stick together I guess. Picking him up in the first place was a pretty strange decision.

Hoping Mini doesn't leave as well...

from what i've read on reddit, he's already left :O

Sad, he was probably QPad's best player (in terms of individual skill). Plus, hasn't he been together with Waga for (in Dota terms) an eternity now?

That's a long long time to be inactive. How many months of sponsorship do they even have left anyway? Because no one is going to join without Qpad sponsorship onboard.

Yeah i don't know i watched wagamamas stream a couple of times and he was just chatting this girl up on skype and playing on shitty mmr doing "funny" builds. Having followed the sc2 scene before i started dota 2 it just seems sc2 players actually want to improve and work hard unlike many dota 2 players.

There's a big difference in dota and SC2 though, SC2 is 1v1 where dota is a team game, a lot of players, even some of the very best use pubs to fool around every now and then(Because pubs offer very little actual practice). But yeah, i personally think more pro players should do what scandal(Just an example, i remember him doing like 50 invoker games in a row followed by 50 TA games in a row) did back during the empire era and work on individual skill in pubs(Which is more or less all you can improve in pubs) like crazy.
But i can imagine why they don't all do that, most pros in dota play dota for fun since they can't make a living off it.
From the Ghastly Eyrie I can see to the ends of the world, and from this vantage point I declare with utter certainty that this one is in the bag!

It's not a fair comparison by any means. I don't think many dota 2 teams get any salary even though people call them pro players. Not that many high prize pool tournaments, leagues take like 2 months to finish or something ridiculous and the prizes are split between 5 players.

The fact that pros seem to not mass game heroes that they later play in tournaments... Seriously, sometimes you see a pro that seems clueless to how to play his hero, that should be happening even in the most amateur of teams

Qpad should just recruit some new blood instead of waiting for other pro teams to disband.

Eh, it's not that easy. Otherwise you will end up where they were just now with Select. In my opinion they should look more towards the swedish / CIS scene.

why did people said you only need 2 level in stomp to land ulti with TC? I have been playing TC quite a bit and i think you need at least 3 level to get the ulti right.
