There were a few available races, and you got gas(or something) which you could use to send powerful units at your opponents. It was pretty popular in WoL, I remember playing a ton of games of it with a friend like 2 years ago. I think the Sc2 version had some kind of feature where you could only select 1 builder until you had a certain amount of experience or something. legion TD i think. ahhhh yes ty There is a terrible sc2 version topping the arcade. Btw, did anyone Vampirism Fire? The map was kind of stupid, but I really liked it for some reason. There were like 10 players, who had to build bases with like a wall on the ramp entrance, towers, etc. Then thee were 2 Vampires who just hunted everyone. It was really reflex and micro intensive, tho. Your builder had like 2 blinks on separate cooldowns, and you had to move really quickly sometimes, because when the vampire found your base and starte killing your buildings and workers it fed a lot of gold, so you had to deny them. And every kill had a chance to drop a gold, which you could snatch by your hero. I developed this super good strategy, where I built like mini bases in the start with just 4 buildings each, until I could afford an emerald tower and a gold mine, then I set up the base and won the game from there. ) Good times, good times.

I finally beat it on absurd on SC2 the other day, was happy even though i did like no damage to the boss because I had to focus on AOE just to survive. That aside, What heroes do you guys think are the best for when you just want to win and not have to gamble on having non retarded teammates?

I think it's funny how 'mainstream' gaming started making tower defense games a couple of years ago. And all of them seem incredibly lazy compared to the WC3 tower defenses. But even then, all the tower defenses when you 'figured them out' wasn't that fun. I'd love to see what some of those custom maps given the same care as Dota got from icefrog would be like. A tower wars that is actually strategic and interesting and had a variety of things you could do. Footmen Frenzy that doesn't have some heroes which are just plain ridiculous. Etc...

If they get it up in time. Twitch always lags for me when viewer count starts hitting 15k. The CEO of Twitch said "We're massively expanding our server footprint in Europe over the next two months" so i'd assume it won't take half a year or so, but who knows.. Heres all the quotes about this and AMA (That is going on right now) with the CEO. + Show Spoiler + Q: Why is twitch so awful in Europe? I've been using twitch for years and have seen people say you're getting more servers for Europe but it's still nowhere near fixed. A: We love Europe. Here's how we get to where we are today: 1) Twitch launches 2) Twitch is popular in Europe, and has no European datacenters at all 3) Twitch struggles to grow in Europe 4) Twitch opens first EU datacenter! Much rejoicing! 5) Immediately, European viewers grow. They watch more video, they watch higher bitrates, it's awesome! And then the EU datacenter is saturated. Everyone says Twitch sucks in Europe. 6) Twitch opens 2 more datacenters and expands the first. More rejoicing! 7) You know what happens next. Everyone says Twitch sucks in Europe. 8) Present day: Twitch opens 3 MORE datacenters in Europe (launching very soon). There will be much rejoicing. Hopefully this time we will be able to get the NEXT set of datacenters open before you guys use it all up..but the appetite for video seems voracious. A.2: We are specifically opening a Stockholm datacenter for this reason. A.3: When we run out of EU capacity, we spillover to the US rather than either A) overloading EU servers, or B) refusing to serve new viewers. We're opening 3 new datacenters shortly in the EU for just this reason. Reddit AMA
