I'm really not a fan of TGS' casting, even if they do have the best production value around. (I know a lot of people have issues with Tobi's casting, but when he has a co-caster I think he's one of the best big game casters around) i honestly can't stand Tobi
I do agree that GD has weak casting tho

At least we have a choice unlike other tournament organiser that just use their own staff ^^

Well it's no different than it was last year.
Although yes I'm glad I don't have to sit through GD casting while still being able to get some of their between games shenanigans.

From Ayesee being missing during Curse and he's travelling 'somewhere' that he's not revealing he might be at the GDStudio for the qualifiers. But even then. Ayesee+Draskyl over Tobi+Synderen? No thanks, not in a million years.
I might watch GD in-between games, but their casting is just hype-less and analysis is weak compared to pro-players.

And that's not even counting Kuroky + Maelk. Isn't ayesee moving or something? Pretty sure i heard blaze say that on the curse stream the other day

Pretty sure i heard blaze say that on the curse stream the other day I don't know, I just realized he wasn't casting curse. Checked his twitter. Says he has jet-lag but isn't saying where he is. So figured he's either going to BTS or to GD, because otherwise why would't he just say? (I suppose there's also been rumors about EG setting up some kind of studio at their new offices, but the timing with western qualifiers plus Draskyl being at GD would fit)

Would be weird to get Ayesee to the GD studio but not advertise that he is there.

Profit.

From the time between the tweets I would assume he is somewhere in Europa or Asia. Way too long just for a domestic flight, even though he was talking about delays.

Just imagine it... The GD studio rebranded for TI3 western qualifiers, new overlays and shit. The countdown comes down...3...2...1 and suddenly: + Show Spoiler +"GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS FROM SWEDEN, DOTA FANS!"
Way better than some stupid announcement.

Agreed with cecek. I hope Ayesee shows up to cast with Draskyl. :p
|
If that does happen, i hope their stream goes live after joindotas, just so we can watch the JD numbers plummet

Well... in the other side, GD Studio will lose a fucking ton of viewers. GD has a good roster but who would trade Maelk, SyndereN and KuroKy? Come on. We all love GD Studio, lala Yames and IceFrog but this is casting DotA we are talking about not a daily show talking about eSports. I like Draskyl but he's not enough. And Bruno casting sucks ass, be honest. I don't really like the whole "community shall fight for it" thinking from Valve. Not for a tournament like The International. There should be an official English coverage+ languages, not the other way around.

But I agree with the rest, for people that actually care about Dota, Maelk/Synd/Kuro is the obvious choice. And I say that as someone who's been highly critical of jD's production in the past. The people are the most important thing in the end.

As a sidenote on the AC thing.
I don't think there'd be a lot of traffic in Sweden on a Sunday at 9pm.

Every single studio had plenty of opportunities to show how good they are throughout the year. Like I said before, this is The International, not EIZO Cup. And to be completely honest Starladder and GD Studio has the upper hand on this but good luck for all.
And yeah, someone, somewhere pointed out that he might be in the new EG house. Not the Arizona one. The one where IdrA and iNcontroL are. SF maybe? Not sure.

Yeah, it's in SF. I was actually surprised that people thought he was going somewhere else, because i thought he is going to EG House.
