Also lied to slesh about him getting to cast, as synderen basically just replaced slesh as soon as mtw got eliminated (which was very early), while slesh was told he'd get to cast a lot more than that.
Or something like that, I don't remember and I didn't really care that much.

So given that there are 13 invite spots, how are they going to be divided up? 6 east, 6 west + LGD.int?

6.5 each?

They favoured east last year over west and I don't see them changing that. If anything based on last years standings you would invite less west but doubt they will do that. Something like 8-5 might happen with 2 NA, 2 CIS , 1 EU and 5 CN, 3 SEA. Prob 4 CN and 2 EU though.

LGD.Int LGD.Cn IG DK
4 team for China
Orange Zenith MUFC?
For Sea
Alliance Na'vi Fnatic VP(?)
For EU
EG Dignitas
For NA.
Rest i dunno. Western scene is really volatile right now. Empire basically died (Vigoss kill every fucking team, i'd have liked to see a LoH exchange with Funnique, but i guess he's too busy getting pussy), VP pro has too many high and downs, while teams like Qpad or Mouz feel a step below top tier EU. NA scene is a joke, EG and Liquid are their top team, but they're both playing horrible lately, and Dignitas may as well be the top team NA right now. I'd give the spot to EG before Liquid though, if only because i feel EG may be better on LAN due to the experience of some of their players (Maelk and Fear).
Old Empire when scandal was on fire was so awesome.
EDIT: confused Fnatic with Dignitas

VP is going to get an invite. There is absolutely no way that Valve invites only one CIS team. The CIS viewerbase for DotA 2 is too big and too important.

I don't pay as much attention to the eastern scene as the western. If they got 7 invites, and then another eight for the east qualifier, who would those 15 teams likely be?
I can think of iG, DK, lgd.cn, zenith, Orange, Zenith, TongFu, MUFC, and possibly lgd.int, but that is only 8 (9 if you count lgd.int).

But yeah, if they're going to invite 2 CIS, add VP to that List and it's complete. It's not a team that can really go anywhere imho, but i'll hope to be proved wrong.

Yea too many people forget this. Navi/VP are pretty much in. Empire would be too if they didn't go to shit.

I'd expect 2 CIS, 2 Euro, 2 NA
My predictions would be
Na'vi VP [A] Fnatic.EU Liquid Dignitas
I could swap either Liquid or Dig for EG, it depends though, EG needs to show a bit more stability, though they're definitely looking stronger again

They've been consistently placing into the finals of almost every tournament they've been in.
With the exception of the embarrassment that was Liquid's EMS 1 run, and the Ritmix Russian Dota 2 League

EG has three things going for them: - They've had a consistent roster since the initial roster change post-TI2 - They have more LAN experience than the other NA teams - They have more star power than the other NA teams
