I don't see anything strange there. Most of the heroes at the top of the list are very high effectiveness pub heroes.

Huskar, Storm, Tusk, Tinker, TA, QoP, Enigma, Tiny, Undying, Batrider, Lion, Magnus, Nightstalker...All well below 50% winratio. While towards the top we have Necrolyte(wtf?), SB(One of my personal favorites, but I almost never seeing anyone else use him successfully), Omniknight, Spectre(another wtf?), VS, Treant Protector..All skewed towards the top of the list.
At least in my mind, it doesn't make much sense =|

Yes, I'm sorry. Forgive me for my mortal mistake. He is only just below 50%. Meanwhile my point stands.

Heroes actually far below 50% are either plain bad, hard to use or both. There are a few odd ones here and there, but it's really not that crazy. It's just very weird that you would consider 49.98% bad and 52% good. Neither one is near either end of the list. NS was specially odd because he is the most balanced hero in dota, by those stats.
For example, I'm really not sure why you think Huskar being low is odd and also think SB being near the top is weird. Both are pubstompers, shitty at a good level, but SB is just much better since the charge buff. If you were comparing it to competitive tier lists (like people were doing before, for some reason), both would be terrible.

All the heroes you listed require some kind of skill to achieve their potential. People forget that the larger majority of people that play dota are awful at the game. We generally only see a very small potential of the top

I guess..but treant protector near the top? I can not fathom how anyone could make good use of him, much less those who are awful at the game.

Trent was not near, but at the top before the ult change. It's worse now but still a good low level pub hero. Right now he is at 52%, which is pretty average.

His potential is low, but it's very easy for someone bad at the game to use him. More so than Tide because he doesn't need a Blink Dagger for his ult--he just uses Nature's Guise because nobody in low level games buys detection.

I think the main issue is that the only people who pick him are good player trolling pubs.
At least, that's what I'm guessing...

That's not enough to affect the statistics that much. The number of smurf games that are being played by players that good will have a comparatively small effect on winrates.

He has like 100 base damage and is tanky. That's almost the perfect low level pub here there. Doesn't die easy and hits like a truck. Using spells effectively is hard so having shit spells doesn't even matter.
|
Living armor is extremely effective against uncoordinated pubs and being able to heal your towers helps aswell.
|
The kind of heroes that make people think they can kill but don't realise how tanky they are or how much damage they can deal are good in pubs. They dive a tree, thinking they can get an easy kill and living armor and/or invis can turn the fight.
It's kinda like Necrolyte or Razor, they see you on low health and keep following you while you steal all their damage or keep healing yourself. I feel like the only reason Razor isn't higher is because people don't realize how good Static Link is, they don't even skill it until later on in the game and just forget to use it.

Razor also isn't higher because low level pubs play him as a generic Agi carry and don't enough build defensive items on him.
