I mean, luna ulti hits creeps too but it's not like it makes it terrible Luna's ult takes place over the course of far less than 30 seconds and luna has full night vision (assuming you've taken aura) and makes it hard for most heroes to juke her the second she activates ult, she also innately has 330 MS compared to Razor's 290. Luna's ult can also only hit a target a certain number of times, ult in the middle of five heroes and a creep wave and you're probably going to have some impact, unlike Razor's ult. Also glaives late-game clear creeps far faster than plasma field. A similar ult, Juggernaut's, instagibs creeps now. Also, all of these ults but Razor's are randomly targeted rather than being targeted in a fashion that is counter-intuitive to a teamfight. The issue here really is the "30 seconds" part. At level 7 maxed edict or battery assault deal more damage than his ult would with Agh's if it consistently hit the same target (admittedly ignoring minus armor), and that's without considering them coming off cooldown within that margin of time. Gyro's rocket barrage is even more absurd. Edict affects buildings without agh's, battery assault stuns, Gyro has 3 other skills that are insanely strong. Oh yeah, all of them also have better movespeed than Razor. Gyro, Luna, Juggernaut - at level 6 all of these heroes instantly become much stronger due to the burst damage of their ultimates (and utility on Jugg/Gyro ults). Diving Luna under a tower without a creep wave is suicidal, diving a Razor isn't particularly daring at all unless it's going to take you 15-20 seconds to kill him and you're alone but really an extra point in static link is a better deterrent to most solo gankers (or even the passive purge to make it easier to run away/extra reverse nuke damage). Yeah, if someone stands in a single spot and lets you static link them and hit them with your ult for the full duration then Razor is awesome on paper. But Ursa is probably better if you're just hitting something (besides a tower). It doesn't matter if your ult is so strong after 30 seconds of constantly hitting things. That's just a nonsensical length of time for anything that's not a pushing mechanism (ie Krob ult). Maybe if Razor's ult was like Edict and kept going off after he died I wouldn't think it was the worst in the game (rather just situational but generally mediocre), as it is it's something that only affects a teamfight when the opposing team has picked the dumbest possible spot (Rosh pit or secret shop) or that they are losing horribly anyways. A single point in any of his other abilities is better than the ult. If an ult needs agh's or refresher to be decent, it's not a good ult. If it hit towers before getting agh's then it would be a decent pushing tool. Just compare his ult to any similar skill in the game, his ult stands out as having the most flaws. It doesn't even synergize with plasma field since plasma field does less damage if they are in range of his ult. | ||
