I've been on a huge losing streak - clearly the servers are causing me to lose.

1. Whenever I join my first game of a session of dota2 (either spectating or playing), my mic volume as a windows preference turns to 0. Any idea why? 2. Every third game I play in a session results in a pretty terrible crash to desktop at the beginning of the game (takes like 5 minutes or so to fully crash / exit). I heard something about how some Nvidia cards are having problems with dota2, is this something to do with it?

Go to Steam Library, Dota 2, right click -> properties - Tabs open - Local files (tab) - Verify integrity of Game cache - let it run. Also i wonder if deleting local game content would be useful, haven't used that one that much, so not sure. Also, i'm not sure, but disabling (Updates tab) steam cloud sync could help. From steam: If you have problems with missing models, video artifacts (purple and black checkerboards) or unexpected crashes, please follow the steps below to use Steam's Verify integrity of game cache feature to identify and replace corrupted Steam cache files. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

Also few tips that has sometimes fixed problems on steam (different games though) for me. There is also the possibility that either my harddrive or videocard is dying, so maybe its that. Its weird though, because it started happening 4-5 patches ago (and was directly after a patch being released)

Also, how about your drivers? Are they really up-to-date or not at all?

According to Gosugamers insider, the tournament will begin on May and run well into July. Perfect World will be holding a press conference on 19 April to announce the details of their upcoming 1,000,000 RMB (~$160,000) tournament. Gosugamers insiders who are working closely with Gamefy told us that the tournament will start in May and run for two months till the end of July. The tournament will be held in Shanghai where most of the professional teams are. Besides that, SGamer reported that the organizers will be inviting ten professional teams and most probably play a ten teams round robin stage before the playoffs. The games are expected to be played in a local studio, much like G-League did in early 2013. The official details of the tournament will have to wait till the 19 April announcement. Perfect World acquired Valve's rights to distribute Dota 2 in China late last year. Perfect World announced their partnership with Gamefy in a press conference on the 8 March. Rumors have been spreading over the last few months among Chinese personalities that Perfect World will be hosting massive qualifiers in China for The International 3 later this year. Gosugamers is currently trying to reach Gamefy for more information about the tournament. GosuGamers

No, your carry doesn't have to be your most talented player, but I was more getting at the fact that Fear is the captain and best player, being dragged down by most of his team. It may be easier for him to call the shots from the 5 position, and that's fine, but the talent they are moving around to make that work is the problem, IMO. Demon may be able to correct his risky playstyle so that he can work in the 1 position, but Jeyo is hopeless. Can't speak for the other positions until I see them play in them. Of course it's all speculation until we see them play with the new lineup, but I think their issues go a little deeper than roles, and the one person they didn't move around (Jeyo) is their biggest problem IMO.
